Im a man of simple tastes. I see vampires and so i play vampires.

However its been a while since i last played so im looking for any advice as vampire counts on how to take a large garrison settlement.

My main issue is most the enemies around me turtle with 18/20 plus another 10 to 15 garrisoned troops in thier settlements. So attacking with a 20 army of mainly spear/sword skellies and ground based troops makes it increasingly difficult not to turn every attack into a brute force meat grinder.

Im not sure what is a good method to defeating these places without having to wait months for them to leave their cities.
