Can't Create Skins For Some DLC Weapons?

I was going to give a go at making a skin for the Bootleg Rifle, and realized the option to edit the skin wouldn't appear - Same for all the other DLC weapons I have.

Is there a reason stated somewhere for why this is a thing? Will the community ever be able to make skins for DLC weapons?

Edit Sorry, I actually am able to make skins for some DLC guns, but still though, not all of them.

Not all the skins are currently supported. You'll have to wait until they get workshop support.

Yeah well... That only really means that it hurts far more when you fail, so my mindset is on "Meh, whatever" now after what happened in the last safe. Let's leave it at that.
