Error when opening Base Gradient. (PS CS6e)
Hello there, I've been trying to get started on skinning but I'm having an issue right away and I'm hoping someone here might know a bit more about it.

I'm currently using Photoshop CS6 Extended and when I try to open any of the Base Gradient templates I get this error:

"This document contains unknown data which will be discarded to keep layers editable. To preserve the original appearance instead, choose Flatten to load composite data as a flattened image."
Then my options are "Keep Layers", "Cancel" and "Flatten".

I keep seing CS2 being tossed around as the version to use, so I'm not sure I understand what unknown data there could be that CS6 wouldn't know how to handle. I also do not recieve this issue on any of the other templates, only the Base Gradient ones give it.

Is there any way for me to find out what data I'm losing? Does it even matter?
Is there an update or plugin I can install to keep the data?

It's a pretty self-explanitory error on it's own, but I'm wondering what I can do about it specific to PayDay 2, any help is appreciated. :D:

It is a problem, since if you choose flatten, you will get 1 layer with all the stuff crammed into it, which is not editable and therefore of no use.
CS2 has a similar problem where some elements could not be read, which in return makes the result a bit darker in-game. I'm personally using cs2, so i wouldn't know why you get the conflict, but perhaps someone else might be of help.

Yea, I'm pretty familiar with Photoshop overall, not an expert by any means, but I know my way around using the program. I know flattening it wont do me any good.

Mostly my question is about the lost data, since the error doesn't give me any info on what or why. But thanks for letting me know it might make any skins I create darker, I can compensate for that if necessary.
