Have no idea why you would want to diminish one of the games good features. Perhaps you should just play civ 5 instead?

I wouldn't consider it diminishing a good feature of the game. As I already stated, the current battle system works very well in a singleplayer environment where nobody has to wait for another player to finish their fight. however in multiplayer it can be a bit annoying especially in the late game where multiple armies led by heroes that are also accompanied by guardians are colliding with eachother resulting in very long struggles. I understand if you don't have any problem with this but that doesn't mean the battle system doesn't have its flaws.
