Mod Request: Advanced Start
Hey, everyone. I'm having an amazing time playing Shifters, and I really like the feel of the game so far. Considering my 40+ hours spent on the game, it's not hard to see why.

However, something feels missing in all of it. If you look at my profile, you will see I've played a fair share of Large-Scale RTS of 4K style games, but among my favorites is the Civilization Series, alongs with empire builders like Age of Empires and Age of Mythology. My biggest gripe: scale and team-based games. That's where Advanced Start comes from.

Now, scale is much harder to replicate without having a script extender a la SKSE for Skyrim, which would allow for an increase in script RAM and several stability issues at higher loads. That'll be for another time. For now, I need to talk about Civilization.

One thing I really like doing in any RTS or 4K game is to create situations where two or more teams duke it out in a large map setting. For example, in Age of Mythology, I max out the 12 player limit and create a two-way or three-way brawl on a random map. In Supreme Commander, I would create 4-way battles to cause utter chaos on the battlefield once the rush timer expires. Sometimes I would set up situations where certain sittuations are complicated by a single variable, i.e. a massive sea separating opponents or even allies, removing the capacity to create naval units, or situations where direct conflict would pretty much be suicidal.

This is something I would like added as a mod, at the very least. To customize the game for team battles, add more than the 8-empire limit, or adding challanges such as having the option of permanent war/peace, to instantly declare war upon newly disovered empires, prevent the use of the market to purchase units or other materials (or disabling it entirely), or something else to really screw with the vanilla game. New AI will need to be created to accomidate for possible new changes, but it could be very interesting to see vast changes in how the game is played every time.

I thought it would be interesting, but if there is a mod I'm not aware of that already does this, can you guys provide a link? If not, would any of this be possible?

Thanks,
- Drac
