Search mod developer for extreme small basic mod
Hello.

I am searching for someone who can make a tiny mod. But with big impact.
Usualy in my playthroughs, I noticed that after a cetrein point I am so big, nothing can challenge me.
Or worse, that a neighbour is so massive there is no chance to defeat it. Also it's a bit of a shame, that there are almost always the same nations in the lategame.

To handle all of these problems, I am thinking of a little mod, that effects all Nations!
A mod that increases unrest, based on the developement of the country.

Means a small nation with 50 dev, get's less penalty than a big one.
And I want big nations to "Mingplode". For example ottomans, a big Timurid, The Indian nations, Spain and so on.

The mod would be simple. Every nation get's Unrest based on their developement. 100 Dev = 1 Unrest. or said, every 1 dev gives 0.01 Unrest.

This should cause big nations to Implode and still be manageable with a good setup of ideas. Also increasing the relevancy of "rise unrest" in the espionage interactions. Because there is allready a decent amount of unrest.

So that's my idea. A mod that increases the unrest at at 1/100 of the developement.
Can anyone help me there?

I created a mod that does something like that., and gives you the option of playing as rebels to continue the campaign, but as a different nation.

It's not unrest per development, but rather a "and then it got worse" mentality where problems can easily spiral out of control that starts after 75 cities. However nations under that 75 cities can still explode if they don't kill rebels quickly enough and the rebels become a nation.

I think this apporeach might be to much at once.
But can you help me create such a simple bod, as I planned?
I never made a mod, and I think, such a "small modifier" should be easy, for someone ecperienced, right?

Not really, you get the basics down as a rising nation, and should be stable when you become an empire, in fact you get buffs for having 3 stability and 90 legitimacy.

Anyways i was just pointing you to the mod, i am currently busy with it, but adding an unrest per province modifier is more difficult than you think, as it would require coding for each development point, or making the mod incompatible with others.

Basically, in vanilla, early game is hard, mid game and late game is super easy.
This just balances it so early game is somewhat easy, mid game is hard, and late game is easier than mid but ai is also more developed and imperial than mid game.

Actually I was thinking, it would be more clever to use a nationwhide modifier, like the "Pesants War" modifier in the HRE. And this modifier gets recalculated on the first of January and adjusts to the amount of total developement. Rather than checking each province on it's own.
