Crush Depth
Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to either remove crush depth or adjust it.
My game glitched and didn't switch to crush depth. This meant my u-boat was able to sink much further than normal and take many hull breaches and eventually flood drowning everyone onboard, this was a truly harrowing experience that i'd like to replicate.
I'm not having much luck with the unity editor and altering data sheet entries doesn't appear to be doing anything.
Anyone got any ideas how to achieve this?
Thanks

In your game directory ...\UBOAT\UBOAT_Data\Data Sheets

There is a file called "Entities.xlsx" which you can edit with Excel, Google Sheets or a similar application. Before you edit anything, make a backup of the original! On line 38 you will find a line labelled "Type VIIC (Player)" and it contains some of the data for the player sub. In the Parameters-section you will find "CrushDepth = -300" and you can change it to whatever.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested this myself so change it at your own risk.

Uboat.net lists the VIIC as having a Max Depth of 220 meters or 721.odd Ft, any time I have been that deep in this game well what goes down does not have to come back up.

crush depth = total destruction. damage starts below 200m or something like that and can cause sinking no matter if your above or below crush depth.
a lot of mods modify damage/diving settings, and i dont understand what the op means.
also its not mentioned if with or without mods and what exactly happend?
i can go to 200 m and i don't sink, it does depend on wether your sub is damaged. if your sub is damaged then don't attempt going to 200 m cause there's a high risk of not getting back to surface.

I'm not exactly sure, but the OP gives me the impression that perhaps they are misunderstanding the meaning of crush depth.

the stock game is pretty accurate in terms of crush depth, however.

I thought this was about the game crush depth. Though I also went through the same experience, it made things much more interesting and made me think of al lthe potential different ways the experience could have different challeneges and levels. Id liek to add you if you dont mind and talk about some ideas.
