If anyone is willing and able, what I'd find really useful as a small utility in addition to the main game is a mod that lets us decide, or even re-roll our officers initial traits.

It's very annoying to start a game (especially after every potentially breaking update), get through setting up the difficulty (and customising the captain), only to see your first 5 officers have 2 cooks, a headquarter trait and 2 toughs.

I think it would provide a great quality-of-life improvement for those looking to start a campaign that don't feel like starting and quitting campaigns for 20 minutes just to get a decent initial crew.
