Flashing Ditchlights
Hey all
What's the reason that some railroads have flashing ditchlights on their locomotives and others don't? I was reading somewhere that apparently BNSF locomotives do not have flashing dightlights while CSX, NS and a few others have flashing ditchlights. (I don't think Union Pacific has flashing ditchlights on their locomotives either).

If anyone knows the reason, let me know

Some UP locomotives do have flashing ditchlights because they're Ex-Southern Pacific. Also, since the FRA doesn't require flashing ditch lights, many railroads don't have them fitted.
