MODS loaded but not fucntional
Having re-installed TF2 recently and checked which mods work, I don't find many of them (mainly assets) in the menu. Is there a mod limit or some trick to have them all appearing?

You need to enable them in the ingame mod manager. This works for new games and also for when loading a savegame.
