Do these mods exist?
Two things I'd like to change about the game, I think they would be fairly simple to mod and also I'm probably not the only one who wants them, but can't seem to find anything in my searches. If you know of mods that can do this, please let me know:

1) Barbarians stop spawning at a certain point. I don't want them removed entirely as I like the early game challenge, but when you are in the industrial era or later it doesn't make much sense lore-wise for a barbarian camp to spawn a few miles from your capital.

2) Tech catch up - I usually play on immortal, which is a nice challenge early on but by late game I'm a good 2 eras ahead of everyone else on the map and it becomes tedious. Is there a mod to maybe boost techs for everyone when the first person finishes the research, so everyone can stay and around the same tech level?

For number 2, try EpsTweak for Catch-Up.
