Faction Packs

There are numerous build packs that have been produced by some of the best creator's on the workshop that are just waiting to become various faction packs however i am unsure of how these packs will actually work. Anyone else have better insight? perhaps something hidden in the latest patch notes?

i'd also like to know this. The update notes only say we now have the ability to, but does not go into it further

after looking into it myself, it seems very simple. add your ship .xml files with factionpack.lua modinfo.lua. download a mod and navigate to that mod folder and you can see for yourself.
