Any idea where to mod the 'weight' of a unit with regards to Neutral Armies?
So, I've been playing around with some light modding and rebalancing, and I noticed that in the 'Faction' XML's, each faction's Quest is shown with data about what kind of army will spawn at what points... featuring both a 'Strength' and a 'RelativeStrength' value. Now, I'm PRETTY sure that the RelativeStrength value is what the game uses to try and balance these neutral armies with the size of YOUR forces, so a Neutral Army with a RelativeStrength of 1 is supposed to match your strength directly, a RelativeStrength of 0.5 means it's got half as much firepower as you do, etc...

But, how does the game 'know' how powerful your forces are? How does it 'weight' each unit you're fielding? There's the 'increaseVehiclesScore' and 'increaseInfantryScore' values, but those are always 1, and I doubt the game considers a simple transport to be equal to the value of an endgame Gargantuan unit...

Basically, if you've made a unit significantly stronger or significantly weaker, how do you change the game's 'perception' of it to match, so you don't wind up with weirdly mismatched Neutral Armies showing up if you follow the Quest?

I assume it uses the production cost of the unit (which is translated into Tier (6 production = 1 tier)).

Ah! That does make sense, if you're right. So if you lower the production-cost of a unit, you also automatically decrease its 'value' for when the system needs to scale Neutral armies to you. Presumably, it's JUST the production-cost, not the resource-cost, that plays in...

Actually, I think you may be right - it would explain some of the odd results I've been getting when experimenting with unit rebalancing.
