Map Editor Questions
I was wondering if anyone knows about a way to implement triggers in the Map Editor?

What I am specifically thinking about is a way to add a trigger so an attack from The Empire can be timed or even triggered by crossing a certain point on the map.

Will rival keepers be available in single player mode (not just The Empire but other keepers)?

I have tried to give the empire the dwarf workers even the imps, but they just wont mine any gold for The Empire. Nor will they explore or dig out new areas. Am I doing something wrong?

My understanding of the game is thus:

Triggers are not a feature of the Map Editor currently.

I wonder what you mean by single-player mode. Do you mean the campaign?

The empire is not a player. They are a neutral, hostile force. They are essentially, creeps. They do not build rooms or mine gold, period.

Adam is currect. Triggers (apart from those created by Underlord Dungeon Cores and Imperial Inhibitors) currently are not in the editor as adding them (in the form of the game's MightyQuest system) currently would cost the developers a metric ton of development time due to engine limitations.

And the Empire indeed has no AI assigned to it. It's unit should remain where you place them until an enemy gets in range.

Their units DO use the unit AI, but there is no larger AI ordering them away from their idle tasks around the Empire dungeons.

Yes, I meant campaign. What I want to do is recreate the old DK1/DK1 Deeper Dungeons and DK2 campaign maps. At least in the Deeper Dungeons there are several AI controlled rival keepers, and up until now I have simply made all resistance in my campaigns consist of The Empire, but I wanted to implement active rivals along side The Empire.

In that case, you can't really make a 'scenario'. Instead, you can create the map with other players, and when you play it just assign them AI players. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there is no way to 'force' certain AIs in a map for multiple Underlord scenarios.

Aw, that's a shame - would have loved that. Maybe in a future patch! *fingers crossed*
