AML Launcher doesn't work.
I made sure to remove all the mods that are either missing dependencies, or conflicts but even though the list of mods is all good (according to the launcher) it still won't launch.

I got an error the first time saying that something with the Overwatch All/Others mod wasn't working. So I turned that mod off and tried again. Got the same error but with a different mod.

Is there some other alternative? This is ridiculous that trying to run the game with mods is this obfuscated.

"Error detected attempting load of package: Mod"

Replace 'Mod' with whatever mod is causing the issue. I turn that mod off and try again and then it gives me that error but with a different mod. I'll turn it off and try again and it'll be some other mod that gives me the error. This launcher does not work.

Make more posts in the steam forums. How about contact the mod maker for his explanation as to why it's easier to just use the 2k mod manager?

Are you trying to run WotC mods in the base game? Or vice versa? A launcher just starts the game, if there're problems when the game's started they lie with the selected mods.

This is full of excellent advice: https://old.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/wiki/mod_troubleshooting

Def all WotC mods, and I'm trying to play WotC. I'll give the link a try but after a few attempts I'm still at the same error.

I’m having the same issue - I was previously able to get AML to launch by pressing play on XCOM2 in Steam.

I was able to successfully get AML to launch into LWOTC by manually adding it as a non-Steam game and forcing Proton Experimental. Still having issues getting my cloud save files to sync but it’s progress

Your problem is with how your Steam Deck is configured. This person's problem is with the mods they're running or not running.
