I feel the game lacks progression
Your tech and gear and craftables and most other forms of progression reach peak just within a few hours after the start of the game.
I think that sucks and makes the game unplayably bland and boring for me.
I have seen no mods trying to rectify that. Did I miss something?

Set a goal for yourself.
Look outwards. Attack the Goblins or other civilizations.
Build a mega project.
Look at the wiki page for "playsyle challenge".

Should do twitch streams.
