Mission editor teleport units
Why do some of the groups units die when teleported to a position on the map? I have created a trigger that when the condition is met, a group of bombers teleport to a position on a map to simulate they have just taken off from an airbase. This group are AI controlled in the game. However some of the units are destroyed in the process. They are spawning correctly as I have used formation editor, but no matter what I do some do not make it and at mission end show they have been destroyed. Is there something I can do?

I have this same question.

Any time I attempt to teleport a formation of vessels, aircraft, etc. in the designer... there ALWAYS a set of aircraft, ships, etc. that are destroyed in the process.

No matter how far apart I place them... no matter how large I make the trigger point... at least two or three of a 12 ship formation are immediately destroyed in the process of teleporting them to a designated area.

My goal in using this option it to place an armada of ships and aircraft at a distance that they would not be detected... and then when a trigger is tripped, they are teleported to a closer location where they can travel a much shorter distance before being detected.

I don't want to "Just add more ships and aircraft", because any ships damaged by the teleport gives the opposite side credit for the kills, which I don't want.

I still have not figured this out. I just use this for attacking aircraft and double what I actually want. The only other way is to have them start so far off but most of the time they will RTB before getting within striking range

I put an enemy "AIRFIELD" far away on the map... then open the "Flight Deck" and then "LAUNCH" option and then place the aircraft as close as I want... they usually make it without needing to return to base because technically they didn't take off from the airfield and fly the distance.

For example, I have placed an airfield in IRAQ, and then placed aircraft from that airfield near the US Coast... now realistically they would never make it that far without in-flight refueling... but the game doesn't seem to account for takeoff and then travel TO their spawn point subtracting fuel.

It doesn't help with ships... but that's all I have been able to come up with so far for aircraft. I hope it gets fixed in the final.

Thanks I’ll try that
