SUGGESTION: "Level" Tag also REQUIRES a Mode Tag in order to upload Item
This is something that should be pretty bleeping obvious.

Your level must have a mode assigned to it in order to play. But so many "levels" are uploaded that lack Mode tags that it's kinda disgraceful.

I want to try out every level I can get my hands on, but there are so many levels I'll never be able to play because they don't have a Mode assigned to them.

So, it's pretty damn simple: Just require everything that is attempted to be uploaded to the Workshop with the "Level" tag has to have a "Mode" tag assigned to it as well. This way, we can actually use the damned content that people are uploading.

This should be basic, "Uploading to Steam Workshop 101" stuff.

Well currently everything is tagged as "Level" even if it's just an assortment of statues you're uploading for other people to use in their maps.

The mode tag is automatically applied when the map is uploaded with the mode selected in the editor. If the author didn't select which mode the map was made for, then that's the author's fault, not the game's or the workshop's, the same could be said for any map uploaded with the default name "Untitled" - the author has to care enough to set a name and mode if they want it to be played in arcade. So IMO any map that doesn't have a mode selected is probably not a good enough map to warrant playing it in the first place.

You're probably right.

*sigh* You never know, though. Some random schmuck might create something really awesome in their spare time, and we don't get to play it because they didn't assign a ****ing mode to it.

Still the odds of finding an actually half-decent level under those conditions are even worse than Sturgeon's Law would typically suggest, aren't they?

I would think that if they're able to make something awesome, then they would know what they're doing in the editor already (have used it before, made other maps already, or have seen the various tutorials the community have made), so it'd be very highly unlikely for a good map to not have a mode tag.

But there has been at least one situation where someone uploaded a cool track without setting a mode tag. Oops.

If you really want to try out a track that hasn't had a mode assigned to it, post a mesage on the workshop page and the person who built it will probably fix it.

Still, it would be nice if the upload button would give a warning if no mode is selected, even if it lets you ignore the message and upload anyway.
