The Italic H is alit bit old for Aurelian faction. I can reconsider and gave that helmet to Aurelian Legionaries and Evocati because they are veterans. If you agree with this decision, I will make it into official mod.

the gallic faction looks like the real roman faction, we need their helmets for the aurelian faction

Hey @Kagarino! thank you so much for replying to me! :D, I understand, and it would be marvelous if you give them to Aurelian's troops as well, even if its mixed with intercisa. I apologize for this rather long response, I'm passionate about ancient Rome! so please forgive me while I try to explain and justify my request.

I've study roman military history on my own and for what I understand the imperial army would've looked closer in image to the very late 2nd century model (niederbiber, italic H etc) because of the confussion and constant civil wars and barbarian incursions there wasnt really time nor the logistics to focuss on mass production of newer pieces of equipment such as the intercisa helmets, which some historians think that they might have become a bit more common from 284 onwards, when emperor Diocletian took power and stabilize even further the situation to the point of becoming the emperor who ended the crisis of the 3rd century. (Its still very valid the way the mod depicts the troops).

I just thought its a bit too many, would've love if there was a reversed looked between Gallic Rome infantry and Aurelian's, except Aurelian should also keep the fantastic scale coifs (in other words a mix of niederbieber, italic h and scale coifs)..

Although Aurelian restored and unified the empire once more, it was Diolcetian who finished the work and introduced new military tactics and reforms, mass production was finally able to be put to use in a more effective way with no more interruptions due to wars and other factors.

I think it's the opposite. THe Gallic Rome is the older part of the Empire, they should have old helmets like Italic H. But Aurelian need to supply his men fast with a cheap and simple helmet like Intercisa. Sure I can reduce their numbers and give LEgionaries and Evocati some Italic H. But fresh recruits like Levies can not have Italic H. That is not my own decision, but the whole design was based on Celticus's will as well.

The roman levies, Herculianii, Jovianii and cohors they could use Late Roman helmet but the legionary cohort, pareatorians, evocati cohort and some men of the cohors I think they could use the niederbiber helmet and the itallic helmet, and the evocati cohort and legionary cohort they could mixt the late lorica segmentata and other armors like hamata.

@Albert, Indeed, I believe the herculianni and Jovianii are from the time of Diocletian?

Herculianni and Jovianii are late units, they were no supposed to be in that era. But CA put them in so we reskinned them anyway. Legionaries and Evocati may have the old stuffs, but the praetorians as I have seen from many ref pictures, they all wear the latest and finest helmets, rich people don't use old helmets. Plus the legionaries and evocati already have segmentata.

@Mr D, I know Herculiani and Jovian are from another century, but CA make it in that DLC,
you're right these units are from after III century.
@ Kagarino Kirie, praeteorian cohort is perfect in the actual mod, but if you can ad some niederbiber helmet and the itallic helmet for the evocati cohort, legionary cohort and cohors I think it could be more historicaly. But thanks for read me and I always trust with the profesionality of the peolpe who make mods. You are the best.
