Modding question for Developers

Hey Cliff! I loved Democracy 3 and just got Democracy 4 last week. I did a little bit of modding for 3 and Africa and I tried to mod a few things for 4 today.

In Democracy 3 you could customize the sliders freely, and you could even change the names/titles of the brackets. All the information was inside the "sliders" file inside "simulation".

In Democracy 4 the information isnt there. Why? And where is it? What I mean is: lets say you want to mod the "default" slider and change from "#,default,DISCRETE,0," to "#,default,DISCRETE,7,MINIMUM,VERY LOW,LOW,MEDIUM,HIGH,VERY HIGH,MAXIMUM,".

How can I do it? I want to change the 0 to 7 and also change the NONE, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, MAXIMUM from the standard game to MINIMUM, VERY LOW, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, VERY HIGH, MAXIMUM.

But I cant find the names/titles for any slider. Therefore I dont know how to change the names/titles of other sliders. I cant finish the mod because Im stuck with this problem.

What Im doing wrong? Can you help me in any way? I thank you in advance.

Sorry, one more question.

"partynames" and "quotes" used to be inside of "data" or "data_d3a" in Democracy 3. Cant find them in Democracy 4.

They exist in D4? Where are they?

Yup, its all moved! Actually all that has moved is text that gets displayed on the screen, its now all inside a subfolder of the 'translations' folder instyead of inside 'data'.
So if you look inside translations/English you will find a *second* sliders CSV with the actual data that gets displayed on the screen.
BTW moving this to the workshop discussion forum so other there see it.

I was just about to ask the same question.

In addition is there a way to over ride the current slider text? As in the slider already exists in the English translation but I want to alter it and only affecting one mission: as in the USA?
