I want to build this ship...

And I've made it to the Omicron planet. This is my first playthrough in Vanilla. Without any spoilers am I going to be able to find the resources I need on and/or around this planet to build my ship, or will I need to get some things off planet?

Yes, you will need to go to several other planets and moon/s? Eventually build small SV or CV with a warp drive to go to additional planets to build a bigger more powerful ship like the one you desire. Then lather, rinse, and repeat. Then after you slowly conquer the universe you have finished the game. :steamhappy:

Also, the older blueprint you desire is from 2020 and will need to be udpdated with proper CPU cores generation, and probably thrust. Their are many newer ones available on the workshop available here:

Thank you. I spawned the ship above in Creative mode and tested it out. It appeared to work fine. It could fly and warp. Does this mean it will work the same way in Survival, or will it still have the issues you mentioned?
While in the pilot's seat or while your cursor is pointed at your ship while standing near observe the statistics and see if your CPU efficiency is in the read. This will determine how many cores are needed for the ship to be 100% functional in the actual game.

Creative mode overides CPU efficiency and makes you think your ship is working fine. You should spawn this in game and load it up to see if it will work to your satisfaction.

Took this screenshot in Creative mode. Everything looks good on this screen. There is one stat that is worrisome: Size Class (17.62) 18. And the 18 is in red. Does that matter?

Am I good to go in Survival? Not sure how to Spawn it in Survival since I am only level 17 and need to be level 25 to unlock everything in the tree.

Size Class only matters for MP. It's a guide that is used for server owners/admins to gauge how a BP will perform on a server. Some servers will have a max BP size limit in order to try and reduce the lag that larger sized BPs can cause. The larger the BP size class, the more lag it can cause on a server. For SP, this has absolutely no relevance and can safely be ignored (if you ever play the Reforged Eden 2 scenario, this has been renamed to Complexity, means the same thing, just renamed to make it clearer as to what it refers to)

With regards to spawning it in, if you are only level 17, and this requires components that are at level 25, then you either need to level up, or use the command "SBP" in the console to override the requirements. This will allow to to spawn any BP into the game no matter the requirements, or resources needed. I would suggest NOT using it, and going about it the proper way, and levelling. You'll have more of a sense of satisfaction to have achieved it!

On that last screen shot, press the statistics tab, and on the right it will show you what material you will need to build it. You will NOT find all that material on Omicron or probably even in the entire starting system. You will need to venture off to other star systems to acquire lot of the material and items needed to build it.

You need to also be at level 25 and unlock all the parts needed to build it. This is a late to mid game ship. You will need to build what you can afford now to work toward getting to the point you can build this.

Thanks guys. I do agree with building it myself for the satisfaction. I was only considering spawning it into Survival just to make sure it worked. Would hate to go through all the effort just to find it didn't!

On the temperate starter moon I've build a base and an SV with warp. That is how I arrived at Omicron.
