RE2: Shield capacitors/chargers and plasma turbines signal logic compatibility
I would love for shield capacitors/chargers to have functionality with signal logic, mostly to be able to turn them on or off. they are loud and unpleasant when used on a compact ship, and i'd like to have the option to power them down.

plasma turbines are even louder, and i would prefer that they be compatible with signal logic as well.

You really do not want to power down the shield capacitors/chargers! And they are not that loud. And that is coming from someone with sensory issues. The Plasma Turbines are a lot better than they used to be, the sound they now have is more of a thrumming/low bass noise. They used to have a high pitched/screeching noise when first introduced. I could not watch any video or have them in any base/vessel when first in the scenario. Only when the sound effect was changed could they be used. Again, these are items that do not, and should not be switched off at any time. They help to make any base or CV more power efficient and reduce your fuel usage - in effect, if you do things correctly, you can end up with a negative power draw, thus having an infinite fuel supply!
Due to the way the mechanics work, shield chargers and boosters cannot be turned on or off independently of the shield generator itself.
If you want to turn them off you need to turn off the shield generator using the "shield" switch on the main control panel... I think.

i do actually want to power them down. they are very loud when close up, especially the smaller turbines. i am aware of how useful they are, but their volume is ridiculous up close, especially when multiple are in close proximity, and this is very annoying when placed on a compact ship as they are audible from 3 blocks away, as are the shield chargers.

if i can remove a shield capacitor while the shield is still on without it breaking anything, there is a way. i'd really rather not have to just cheat them in and out of existence as needed.
Once the capacitors/chargers are in and working you really have no reason to be going up close to them. 99.99999999% of the time these items are not in open rooms, not in the same room as from which you control/pilot/command your vessel. Similarly the plasma turbines should be well away from where you are. It really is a non issue. As i said I have sensory processing issues from being autistic, and there is literally no sound that comes from the capacitors/chargers that bother me. The only ones that did were the old screeching plasma turbine noise. That was solved when the sound was changed to the much more pleasant humming noise of the current sound.
Again as i said, you should not be anywhere near these once in and working. They should be "locked away" and never touched again!
***Edit: I've just loaded in one of my older CV's and unless you are literally stood right next to them you cannot hear them at all - in fact the noise of any of them disappear within two blocks, So you must be permanently stood right next to the turbines and shield chargers/capacitors.
