Okay someone please explain WTF???
So I am playing Empyrion using Reforged Eden 2 and I managed to take over one of the Ziraxian bases on Akua. I decided to put my own core into it to use it as my own base rather than building one. It is one of their bases with the giant satellite dish on top. So anyway I removed the antennae from the middle of the dish and built a high truss structure on it with a 5x5 platform on the top and then decided to put a wind turbine on it in order to generate power as I cannot figure out how the base was powered in the first place.

Now I am trying to place the wind turbine and when I get it into the correct position and hit the LMB I get the message, "This plant cannot grow here". WTF??? What plant? I have a wind turbine. It isn't organic. It doesn't grow. It is a wind turbine made from steel plates and mechanical components. Can someone explain to me WTF is going on because I only recently came back to this game and I am finding it impossible to get started as Akua doesn't have the materials I need to build a ship to get me to a planet with other materials. This whole game seems like a paradox. If I cannot get power to this base then I cannot use the constructor and then my whole game is f**ked.

about turbine is a plant its known bug, i dont remember what exactly cause it, try to place turbines on a ground
or just put fuel in fuel tank and turn on generator, it will power up base

about akua start, its most easy planet to start, checklist:
reach 10+ lvl
dig ores to make simply small vessel
fly into space for asteroid resources
then visit akua moon for other rare ores
optional: make sv with warp and visit other planets in starter solar system
(turn on info panel and check difficulty and environment info before warp to planet sector)
level up to 20+
make warp capable capital vessel to leave starter system
make your way in space

Wind Turbines do not exist in the base game. Modders CANNOT add mechanics to the game if they do not exist in the base game. Therefore anything that has been added such as Plasma Turbines, Wind Turbines Hydroponic Bays etc, are a fudge, and will build upon existing mechanics. The wind Turbines are to all intent purposes plants as that is the base system from which they have been built up from! hence why you have the error message advising that they are not working. They have to be within very specific weather, and planetary conditions (as per the tool tip)!
If you look at the tooltip it says it needs to be placed on top of a wind turbine base.

Like others have mentioned since the game does not have a wind turbine mechanic, I had to get creative in figuring out how to make them work.

I have started a new game on Akua in Reforged Eden 2 in the last 2 weeks.

First off the planet has tons of materials to use I have one SV that is capable of going to every other planet in the Solar system, so not sure why you are having issues with this. The only thing I have not been able to find is gold ore in the wild. But have found 30 odd gold bars lying around in POI's.

The wind turbines, I found one POI of the type you mention left that I had not removed. Sadly it is in the Southern Hemisphere, only a few squares from the South pole snow line.

I tried as you have, to get Turbines to work here (I have 4 at the equator all working fine), after three days the temperature never got high enough for them to go through there initial start. The problem is that to get them in the game they had to be made as plants, no other way to do it. So they are subject to the same rule as plants. Correct heat, light, radiation level Etc. The rules for plants are hard coded into the base game and cannot be changed by the RE2 Devs. If this is the same POI you are trying to use them at, I do not believe it will ever work, but you might get lucky.

There is a full description, when you make the wind turbine as to what it needs to run up, once it runs up the above conditions are then ignored from then on I think. The ones I have at the equator have never had any issues once they started.

At this type of POI there is a Ball shaped building to one side, in it is a large generator, fuel tanks and oxygen tanks. If you put fuel in, then turn it on via the control screen you can use the constructor. This works, I've done it.

Word of advice turn off all the guns, lights, oxygen Etc to start with or you will burn through fuel very quickly.

Why don't you post again once you have learned to write in English. Your reply barely makes sense. Anyway, don't need help regarding this anymore. I've moved on. Found better games. Really cannot be bothered with this one anymore.

Your problem was with a custom scenario designed by a fellow player, not the game.

However if wind turbines caused you to quit the entire game I really don't know what to tell you. That's actually pretty silly. "How DARE this custom block I didn't read the tooltip of not work like I thought it should work! It must be the GAME'S fault!"

Also you had multiple people posting here trying to help but you ignored them all anyway. That's on you.

Good luck in your future gaming adventures.

UNSUBSCRIBE
