Mod Request - Dig a Pond b42

So I thought that I would be able to dig a pond by digging a hole, lining it with some rubber or tarps, let the rain fill them; similar to building a real life pond. Maybe move some boulders or rocks over to make it look nice, water the animals.

I was unable to do so, and found a pond mod in b41, but I really want to be able to dig my own pond in a field. Is anyone able to help?

Aside from cosmetics: What would be the reason to have this?

I would want to be able to let my animals drink from this, as an alternative to water troughs, maybe stock it with fish. Let it irrigate my crops, provide water to the house. All sorts of options!
