I'm new to the modding scene and have some specifics in mind I wanted to try out I'm willing to pay something reasonable for the mods.

You know there is "collections" as well as "filter by popularity/subscriptions" for workshop, right ?
Yeah I am aware of it and nexus so thank you but I am looking to build a mod to the specifics of my liking I just personally don't know how.
There's also the issue that modding is a bit of a legal gray area. KHG seems to be fine with modding (they even actively support it), and most studios won't go after fan mods. But once you start making money with it, you're competing with the original devs using their own copyrighted material. Some devs do not find that funny, and courts will be much less lenient once money changes hands. If you want to make paid mods, you should first check in with the devs (and publisher, if that's someone else) to make sure they are ok with this.
