Is there a guide/tutorial for modding in new ships?

Even if they just use existing models?

Hey Classified, I don't think there is one, so will take a bit of digging. Observe prepared a tutorial for dealing with 3d models here[forum.egosoft.com], and there are snippets of information here and there in that forum. Easiest would probably be to download someone's mod, try to figure out how it works, and ask the person who made it.

edit: just remembered. UniTrader's little project here[forum.egosoft.com] might be of particular interest. And UniTrader's always generous with help.
