there is a mod now that has lanterns but they don't produce light sadly. i agree i wish there was light in the windows of buildings and a day and night cycle where the ligths would stand out. maybe even some sound FX to go with night life.

That's stuff that can't be modded though. Would probably require changes to the game engine itself.

I am so for street lights and illuminations of that kind, night/day cycle, illuminated buildings... etc... would look awesome and give allow for greater immersion, as well as being beautiful to look at while building/managing... I will through good money at anyone who can do this!

I think RedKetchup has a mod, going to look at the camp fire mod and see how well it was done.

I used the I see fire mod by RedKetchup, it even has sound effects! I like! I tried using it with the recent Night/Day mod, looks good. No issues so far!
