MP Script Support
I read in the latest changelog that I could no longer use custom scripts in MP, only in SP, and if I want to use a custom script in MP it needs to be in a mod. That's all well and good, but how do I create a mod? I have a friend I play with on a regular basis, and we've been playing with that script for as long as I can remember, and I'd like to be able to continue using it, if someone could just tell me how to turn it into a mod, and upload it to the workshop for my friend to subscribe to.

I second the above suggestion. We have gone back to playing the original game from the CDs because of this issue, the only reason we went to the new Steam version was that my laptop that I use when on the road for work will not display correctly for the original. In it's current state, we cannot play at all, since our scripts that we wrote are no longer working.
Hey Nick,

This may/may not be a cure, but try diving in into some parts of this guide that I co-wrote: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=319580033

Thx for the attempt, but no go. First off, there is no option to join beta for RoN when I went to properties. I tried opting in to Steam betas anf restarting, still nada.

Second, I don't want to create a scenario, just a script. Unless I'm mistaken, a scenario would imply a specific map, and we play with random maps types. Honestly, all our script does is eliminate any and all air units and structures, that's all we want to do. We've played like that for years, and we love RoN, just not with air units, since we play at tougher co-op against the AI, and we gave up on micromanaging the air units to try to keep up.
Henry got a good workaround... but if you want some more scripts besides the n number of pre-scripts.... maybe tag your Script as a "Scen" (I think I outlined it in the guide).

Also, my bad on that guide, that was written when it was still Beta. Now theres no Beta, and I do believe everyone has access to that Beta.... if I'm not mistaken.

Then again, the developers have been making some better than average patches recently, so I think in the short term, all is not lost for those who were accustomed to the direct file transfer protocols of the old days (such as myself).
