Anyone else having problems with the workshop this week?
Hi!

I was introducing a friend of mine to CK2. Thought putting a few mods to make the experience smoother. However, even though they subscribed in the workshop, he couldn't access his mod tab in the launcher, so for some reason Steam wasn't loading the mods. I thought that it was a weird issue relating to the fact that he is installing his games on another drive whole drive from the Steam install location and left it at that.

Just today, I thought that I would try a few mods. Daqin, Extra Decisions and Events, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Been waiting almost an hour, but when I start the game and look over the mods tab, I don't see the game even loading the mods. I use MX Linux with the Steam flatpak, but thus far Steam has installed my CK2 workshop mods without an issue.

Has anyone else had the issue of workshop not loading mods in CK2 this week?

Thank you for reading my message!

Lots of Windows users do have trouble with CK2 Workshop and permanent, but most likely for other reasons than you on Linux.

I think you should have added the "MX Linux with Steam flatpak part" in the headline, as it sounds as if the issue is specfic to that, unless if your friend has a different system.

If the mods are not showing up in the Mods tab of the launcher, then they might still be downloaded, but into the wrong location. That's at least the case on Windows for me where they end up in Steam\userdata\170536921\ugc\referenced..

PS:
Either way, it's usually better to ask rather technical questions in the general forum.
I don't get the impression that a lot of people look here.
