Description
There are two NR locomotives on the Dance Hall Days line; 72 and 119. They were both built in 1997 by A. Goninan & Co. at their Bassendean, WA works. The NR class is currently a major part of the Pacific National fleet, and they're regularly used on freight services around west, south and eastern Australia.

In my fictional universe NR’s 72 and 119 were retired in 2020 and replaced by newer locomotives. Thankfully they found a new lease of life in New Zealand. These two specific engines were chosen for the Dance Hall line because they were still in good condition. They were sent from Sydney to Wellington by ship, and were repainted into the Urban Dance livery at Hutt Workshops. Once approved by the head of UD, NR’s 72 and 119 made their way by ferry and road to Dalton; the headquarters of the Dance Hall Days line.

Now the two engines are used as relief motive power on the passenger trains should the electric locomotives be out of action.
