Description
In 2006, an order was placed with Hillside Workshops in Dunedin for 17 Pullman Heavyweight coaches, and the coaches were built for the Dance Hall Days line. These are scaled-down version of the 4ft 8.5 inch gauge versions that were used in the United States.

The first set of six coaches arrived at Dalton for testing in January 2007, with the rest of the fleet following soon after (Dalton is the headquarters of the D.H.D).

Today these coaches are still the backbone of service on the Dalton to Charlotte's Forest route. There are two sets of 6 coaches in use, as well as another set of just 5 coaches. This 3rd set is painted in the chocolate & cream Pullman livery, and used as a luxury lunch/dinner train.

Two of the coaches are "decorated" with the names of the D.H.D.'s four stations. These are useful for people who are new to the line, and it also acts as a destination display. Each 6-car set has one destination coach.
