Compatibility Patches for W1K's Weapon Scaling

Mô tả
Weapon Scaling 1.3 beta for 1.4 with support for the new weapons but things may break and mod compatibility is currently unimplemented. More testing is necessary but all appears fully functional.

Have you ever reached late-game and wished there was something exactly like Waterbolt, but that actually dealt enough damage to be usable? Or maybe you really wanted to run a whole fire-themed character but all molten weapons become useless as soon as you get some funny red ore? Or maybe you just really want to make the god of all shortswords?
Fear no more! We got you covered!

W1K's Weapon Scaling works in a very simple way. Every vanilla weapon (more on mods later) has been given an appropriate tier based on when they are obtained in the game, this system, alongside farmable upgrade items, let you upgrade the weapon of your choice to higher tier, damage scaling as appropriate.
To keep it simple, this was done through a lot of math and a funny excel sheet calculating the average DPS increases for each progression tier. The result is a somewhat balanced system of scaling that should keep your weapon of choice comparable or slightly inferior to weapons of the same tier.

Now, there's obviously downsides to this. Namely, not all weapons are perfectly balanced on their own. While I have done some individual adjustments myself, I can't try all potential weapon and tier combinations on my own, so I will ask for your comprehension and feedback so that I can keep tweaking the numbers further.

You might've noticed I specified vanilla. There is no way for me to determine the right tiers for weapons coming from external mods, HOWEVER, a solution is already in place.
Mod authors can specify compatible weapons, tiers and adjust scaling of any weapon through the comfiness of their own mods! This is quick and simple, if not a bit tedious for big mods. An example mod is provided in the related thread on the community forums. I will provide a list of supported mods as well as I am made aware!

So that's all! Enjoy your sadly-still-pathetic celestial-tiered wooden hammer!

Hi W1K. I've been playing with your mod for the last couple years, and it has brought a great deal of possibility to my runs, that would have otherwise been, in my opinion, restricted. I'm writing this comment to make a request, but I first wanted to say thank you for this amazing mod.

I have two requests, I hope that both are simple in nature and do not require substantial effort on your part to implement, should they align with your interests.

1. A config option to change the base tier of weapons. For example, one could set the base tier of the Muramasa to Gold (3). Effectively making all Muramasas start at Gold (3) tier when acquired. This would help a lot with runs that shift items around in progression.

2. Two in one here (since they go hand in hand), the option to disable the crafting of tier upgrades and the option to have them drop from the relevant boss in progression.

Once again, I thank you for this brilliant mod :)

Yep I keep track of the thread, sorry for the late reply, been planning on fixing it as soon as I can (probably a couple days)

Cool Whip's snowflake is completely unaffected by tier

Only built in compatibilities are vanilla and Vibrant Reverie, every other is done through external plugins or through the mod itself. If there's a mod that adds compatibility to a specific mod, it should still work to this day (in the case of thorium). For Spirit Reforged, that's mostly on them or someone who wants to make their own compatibility patch for it.

Hi! This mod is amazing but can you also make it compatible with Spirit Reforged mod? Because I want to use this on the Clubs Weapons since the club weapons are only on Pre-hardmode and I still want to use clubs on Hardmode until Moonlord

just to be sure this mod is still cross-compatible with thorium, right?

Pushed a patch to fix some stability issues, nothing to do with the right clicking issues however. Once again, to people having issues applying the tier upgrades, let me know what mods you're running and any that might be messing with right click functionality.
