Due to an extreme amount of rude comments, I need to remind the community that we will not take kindly to abuse. Please read the description of this mod carefully before leaving a rude comment. We are not trying to take a swing at Dubs and his Rimefeller, and we are NOT 'copying' or 'stealing' someone's idea - the idea is simply too generic (drilling and refining fuel) to reasonably call it 'copying'. We are simply doing our own spin on it. If you dislike it, leave a thumbs down and move on.

If you still want to leave a comment how "we should stop modding, be ashamed and even kill ourselves", be aware we will remove it and you will be reported.

Check Change notes.

Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded is a small mod created to showcase what the new Pipe network code is capable of in Vanilla Expanded framework. It adds a simple chain to extract Deepchem from the underground pockets and refine it into Chemfuel. It also adds storage solutions for both Deepchem and standard chemfuel, alongside a few structures including a Refinery and Chemfuel tap.

Player can now connect any refuelable chemfuel-powered structures to the pipe network to make sure everything refuels automatically.

This mod is not trying to dethrone Dubs Rimefeller, or anything like this. Our programmer, Kikohi, developed a pipe network code that’s available in the framework. Any modder can use it to add their own pipe networks into the game, as well as machines that consume the new resources.

Check out the awesome Rimefeller by Dubs by following this LINK

This mod serves as a Vanilla Expanded proof of concept, adding a brand new resource that needs to be found using a deep-mineral scanner and refined. You can now gain huge quantities of chemfuel in late game if you want to create the required refineries and pumpjacks!

The content of this mod can be seen below.

A: Can I add it mid-playthrough to an existing save?
A: Yes, definitely.

Q: Does this work with Combat Extended?
A: Yes.

Q: How do I find Deepchem?
A: Pockets of deepchem appear when scanning using the ground-penetrating scanner.

Q: Can I use deepchem instead of chemfuel?
A: No, deepchem slurry is way too thick. You need to refine it into chemfuel using refineries.

Q: Does it work with any mod adding oil/refining/pipes?
A: Yes, it does!

Q: Why tho, Rimefeller is super cool!
A: Agreed, but it also adds plastic and stuff I don’t like. On top of that, as I said above, we made our own pipe code that any modder can use! This mod is a vanilla-friendly proof of concept what our code can do. You are still allowed to like Rimefeller, hell, I love it myself.

if there was compatibility with this and rimefeller (were i store chemfuel in to the rimefeller tanks i would love it as i hate having to use two tanks so i end up only running rimefeller

@Pre
Odyssey tanks do connect to the chemfuel network, they just don't function as storage the same way VCE ones do. They're more like generators that require fuel than tanks that provide it.

With that being the case, I'd like to suggest this mod makes some adjustments around that fact.
Either:
A. Rename either of the tanks to something else. Maybe change the VCE tanks from "Chemfuel Tank" to "Chemfuel Storage Tank", or change the Odyssey ones to "Gravship Chemfuel Tank" so it's clearly different.
B. Change the behaviour of the Odyssey tanks to function similarly to the VCE ones.

Ah, looks like the bug about the grave ship has already been reported, The tanks on the ship dont drain, neither integrate together, nor does the pipes work between taps and chem power stations on the ship.

Yeah still broken
Pre 14 jul @ 13:16
@Behemoth64 No it doesn't. The Odyssey tanks don't connect to VCE networks at all, and the VCE tanks don't count their fuel for your ship.
Casual 14 jul @ 12:19
Chemfuel drains don't seem to drain into odyssey chemfuel tanks, do VCE tanks count towards gravship fuel, or will I just need to have it hand-filled
Behemoth64 14 jul @ 12:03
@SgtDornan7 It already has integration.

Will this get Odyssey integration?
gazza_m_bolton 14 jul @ 8:08
I understand if the answer is no with this but is there any chance you can look at the appliance expanded mod and consider any of the new workstations they have with chemfuel as a built in part of this mod? maybe even consider them using deepchem instead at a higher cost due to it's unrefined quality
