Ayalin Premium Warlord Mod

Description
Back after a long break, as you can see^^ but happy to present to you my take on the warlord class, I hope you will enjoy playing it as much as I did creating & imagining it ;) You will find:

- Since the 2.0 update (26/10/22), a fully reworked hero skill tree; see discussion topic here for the complete change list: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2818891793/3481871877436401644/

- One new support summon unit, the Spiritual war ancestor. He is an old spirit of ancient wars and will happily help you on your path to glory! Once reaching the gold medal with it, you can sacrifice it to create a structure which will provide a great ability to your infantry and pikemen, a one-time use warcry to avoid death for one turn.

- Two important empire upgrades, Hunter lineage to boost your Monster Hunter units and the Ogre Blood Injection, which can boost your cavalry & infantry at the cost of going berserk for 3 turns. Note that if you are surrounded by enemies, the cost is not that high!

- One empire upgrade unlocking three great items for your Arcane forge, to give new unique tactical abilities to your Leader & Heroes.

- One new tactical spell, Finale Fortune, which is basically a mass Steadfast buff for all your army, with the downside of letting all your troops at one hp for the next three strategic turns on the world map. Use with caution!

- Many rebalance work & regroupment of certain spells / skills. See the discussion topic for more details :

Cool, I think that's the only gripe with it is it's cheap, tier 2, and has too much utility.

No problems super7122, honestly as long as you are not rude or anything like that you can always expect an answer from me :)
I would be keen to do some (or all) of the following changes :
- Higher summon cost
- Higher research cost
- One more turn-cooldown on the Steadfast ability

They don't really need to do damage in my opinion, as their utility is so high it makes damage irrelevant. Essentially having to kill the same unit multiple times, and then seeing it revived, or the unit that does the reviving is tough.

Strategy games are all about efficiency, aow 3, is no different. If a unit costs 60 mana, but it revives once, and revives a friendly unit, essentially your getting triple the cost of the unit, this isn't factoring in the ability where it makes a unit invincible, which in itself is invaluable.

Really appreciate you getting back to me though, wasn't expecting it honestly. Thanks again for all the wonderful mods, I wish you would keep up with them as I had a million ideas, and even a mod myself I created a while back. Keep up the fantastic work good sir.

They deal not much damage (lowest of all tiers II I believe) and don't tank that much, but their utility is maybe too high. They shine in the early game mostly (something warlord needs a lot).

War spiritual ancestors are very much broken, I have played all of your mods, and they are all wonderful. I refuse to use this premium class mod though, spiritual ancestors just break the game in so many ways. They revive friendly units, they revive themselves, and make a unit invincible for a turn. Too much utility, way too cheap, and way too low of a tier. They should be a tier 3 with like triple the cost, and they would still be broken.

Kudos to all the other mods though, you have made the game much more enjoyable for many.

Hmm, to be fair with you I noticed it too but I did not try to prevent it back then; I will have a look and see if I can prevent that. On the top of my head I think I can by using two distinct targeters, so I will try to fix it.

Whirlwind strike ability can be used on hex near to enemy and attack air multiple times hurting everyone around without any retaliation, is it planned? 😖

hm it does but its invisible; check your spirit resistance if it's at 100% to be sure. It still not that great to not see it, I will do a quick fix
