Description
This mod adds the Zoat Elder as a generic lord to all Wood Elves factions. On turn start each wood elf faction holding any magical forest region will be granted one Zoat Elder per region, available in the lord recruitment panel. This can only occur once per magical forest, so each of the wood elves factions could (in theory) have up to 10 Zoat Elders. This also means that you won't be getting new ones if they die before becoming immortal. Also works for AI.

This mod was created by Ubermorgen and Skørne as a submission for the Modding Den's[discord.gg] January 2021 Mod Jam for WH2, themed "Elf?".

- Generic Lord: Zoat Elder
It is said that Zoats are powerful magicians, and that they strive to protect the ancient forests of the Old World. In the ordinary run of things, Zoats are seldom encountered outside their woodland homes. Indeed, even within such places, it is rare to catch a sight of one. They seem to be well intentioned creatures, unwilling to interfere in the affairs of others. This does not stop them from destroying their enemies or protecting their homes. When intruders close or danger threatens, Zoats prefer to rouse the trees and undergrowth to crush and strangle interlopers, rather than take direct action themselves. In this way, Zoats can avoid detection, and even a single such creature can imbue a forest with a reputation so dreadful that even marauding Orcs and rampaging warherds will give the area a wide berth. Where sorcery alone is not sufficient, the Zoat will leave the shadows to enter the fray personally, knocking the invaders to the ground with sweeping blows.

@Walt The Why: yes, you need either the wood elf faction dlc or the twisted & the twilight lord pack to be able to play as a wood elf faction. Without one of these dlc the zoat lord can only be recruited by AI wood elf factions.

@Lizardman2340: not 100% sure what you mean by "lord id" but I guess you need the agent_subtype_key which is "roy_zoat_lord"

@Ubermorgen just wondering if you would be able to give me the lord ID so i would be able to spawn the zoat lord for another faction if that is okay cheers.

Good day! I dont know if this has been reported yet, but the Zoat Elder lords havent been repopulating the lord recruit window when trying to delete lords for a better trait

Thanks for the quick reply. This is already really good and I didn't expect much more than this.

I hope the modding break is not too long, I really like your straight to the point mods (like the Shaggoth Lord one as well). :steamthumbsup:

@miniaaar: Hey, thanks for the feedback! I just pushed a small update, adding +6 MA for the units you mentioned to the first of the unique zoat skills and also added them to the upkeep decrease effect of the second blue line skill.
It's not much but as I am sort of on a modding break it's all you'll get for now :vlambeerFish:
