Description

(might still work, i haven't had the time to test it)

You will need a modified workbench or the mission editor to spawn this vehicle in.
DLC is not required, but recommended for the full experience. Without it, the mounted guns will not work, leaving you only with the water cannons.
Description: HES Opdracht

The HES Opdracht is an Opdracht-class patrol corvette and the lead ship of its class. It was launched in 2003, and has remained in service with the Frisian Naval Prefecture - the defensive navy & coast guard organisation of the Kingdom of Frisia - since its initial commissioning.

The HES Opdracht is an 89m multirole vessel intended to sit in the grey zone between offshore patrol vessels and corvettes, being capable of operating in most weather conditions and water depths, although is rarely stationed out of coastal regions. It is fitted with high-power water cannons and hose mountings for usage in firefighting, as well as two 20mm weapons stations and two .50 calibre heavy machine guns for self-defence and counter-insurgency/piracy.

The HES Opdracht is currently assigned to the 7th Territorial Navy of the Frisian Naval Prefecture, where it conducts customs, search & rescue and border patrol operations.

Usage Q&A

How can I use the autocannons/camera?
To use the autocannons, travel to the bridge through the interior, and walk to the three control stations at the back. The two closest to the outside wall will be for controlling the autocannons, while the one furthest from the wall will operate the camera on top of the bridge.

How do I use the side water cannons?
To use the side water cannons on top of the superstructure, find the dark grey console with two keys on the corresponding side deck. There should be one for each side, which will power the pumps for the cannon above it. Turn both of the keys, and then go up to the water cannon. You should be able to use it

How do I use the front water cannon?
To use the front water cannon, go to the console at the bottom of it and turn the key labelled 'ACTIVATE PUMPS'. Then, turn the Impeller Pump Clutch to full. Finally, turn the orange water valve on, and then you should be able to climb up and use the water cannon.

How do I start the engine?
To start the engine, simply go to the lowered console next to the helm (driver seat), and turn the 'ENGINE FUEL VALVES' key. Then turn the throttle next to that up to full, before turning the ignition key. This should start the engine. When it fully starts and starts to rev down, turn up the final clutch throttle to full. The ship should be ready to operate.

I can't fit my helicopter into the hangar. What do I do?
Unfortunately, the hangar isn't for helicopters. The 'hangar' on this vehicle is intended for storage and mission adaptability - if you have any crates you want to put somewhere, that's where they should go, or if you need a field hospital/medbay or place to put a control station for an ROV/UAV, that's where you should put it. But, there are lots of tie-down points on the helipad, and a hose (with a pump!) for refuelling.

How do I refuel the ship?
Well, first off, I'm impressed you even got that far. But, there are two little holes on either side of the ship (in the deck, next to the RHIB stowages) where you can attach a diesel hose. There is a button inside of that hole which will turn on the pumps to pump fuel into the tanks.

Why is it taking so long to sink?
Bulkheads.

Where are the RHIBs?
I didn't put any because (1) I haven't made any RHIBs yet, and (2) because I wanted there to still be /some/ FPS left when you spawn this in.

Where are the ropes and hoses?
The orange 'bags' dotted all over the walls of the ship are actually hidden inventories. They store ropes, cables and hoses (some only have ropes, depending on where they are). This is where you can find the ropes you need. Alternatively, just salvage them from the mast.

Where is the autopilot/cruise control/sticky throttle?
There isn't one. Real life ships (especially in the early 2000s) rarely, if ever, have an autopilot fitted to them, and this is designed to emulate that sort of semi-realistic feel. I may add a simple heading hold in the future if it's overwhelmingly needed, but, for now, you can use trim (hold Alt and W until it reaches 1.00) as a cruise control and send it in the direction/bearing you need it to go in. You can reset it by holding Alt and S and returning the axis to 0.00

Something that's meant to be working isn't working. What do I do?
Please make sure you comment below what it is that isn't working. Either I missed something in testing, or you are doing something wrong. If something is broken, I will update the vehicle file with a fixed version, and if you're doing something wrong, I'll be more specific in what you need to do.

Wait, I have more questions!
Direct your questions to the comment section below. I read and respond to all of my comments.

Known Errors (to-fix list for me)
Lowered FPS when sonar is active
This is a game issue rather than my own, but the sonar is very laggy when on active mode. If you want to minimise lag, make sure it's always set to passive unless you need it. You can turn off other bridge monitors that you don't need to compensate.

Cooling system is inefficient
I plan to redraft the engine's cooling system soon. It works for now, so I consider this a minor issue.

East Frisia is the part of Frisia I'm from in real life :)

Oh sh**
Wait a minute.... that reminds me of East Frisia in EU4!

Frisia used to be a real country, back in the early medieval period, and it invaded/'colonised' Britain with the Angles and Saxons, which is part of why people say Frisian is one of the closest languages to English. This is just my take on a 'what if Frisia still existed'.

That is cool backstory. I like reading about fictional territories and armies in sw

Around the northern half of the Netherlands, far Northwest Germany (between the Dutch border and Hamburg), and along the southwestern coast of Denmark. Some Frisians will also include England in Frisia, but that's more of a historical thing.

In the alternate universe this ship is from, Frisia stretches across about the top 2/3 of the Netherlands and over Northwestern Germany as described before. There's a map somewhere in the discord server if you're curious. The AU Frisia also retains various overseas colonies.
