I will be critical to this mod, so apologise in advance if it sounds aggressive.
The team is very inflexible and uncreative on this faction, and this game lacks most British technologies except some tanks and personal firearms.
Personal Firearms:
There are many other weapons can be included in this mod.
Canadian made 1944/1945/1946 SLR, a Canadian made experimental semi-auto rifle.
New Zealand Charlton rifle, serve as an auto-rifle or SMG. Being used during the war.
Farquhar Hill Pattern 1918 rifle, British made Semi Auto rifle in WW1. It was adopted but too late to go into full production. Not being used in WW2 but can enter the mod since the mod already have some WW1 Only weapons for British.
BAR Automatic rifle, used by British Home Guard. Number is limited, but this can be included with Home guard units.
Personal AT weapons:
AT weapons:
1. Ordnance, RCL, 3.45 inch recoilless rifles, and its HESH round is able to deal deal damage armour up to 180 mm thick. It's also viable to use it against houses and bunkers because it has a "wallbuster" effect that can kill infantry hiding behind walls.
2. Carl Gustaf: 84mm Recoilless Rifle, yeah, it is Swedish weapon, but it entered production in 1948 and became one of the most widely used AT weapons in NATO nations during the Cold War.
120mm L2 BAT:
British cold war battalion AT guns, replaced 17pdr AT gun, developed from the already mentioned Ordnance, RCL, 3.45. Entered service in 1953, if so many cold war weapons, even things as fun as M16 can be included, this should be in the game. Can be stationed in trenches. (Model: 6pdr)
Link: https://weaponsystems.net/system/1363-120mm%20L2%20BAT
2 inch mortar:
The game have a 2 inch mortar team, but it is the WW1 one. The WW2 2 inch mortar should be included to all doctrines, simply because this an infantry platoon level weapons issued to all units.
4.2 inch mortar:
UK have their "120mm" level heavy mortar. It is funny the Germans have OP mortars while the British ones are basically jokes, or simply missing.
M1 75mm pack howitzer:
Not sure this is included in the Special Force doctrines or not, but the Pack gun is also being used by the British.
3.7 inch Mountain Gun:
This gun can be included in Trench Doctrines. (Model: M1 75mm pack howitzer)
32pdr AT gun:
British Heavy AT gun, designed to take out beasts like King Tiger. The same gun used on Tortoise. This should be included since British did not produce it simply because it is: 1. too heavy, 2. the war will be over soon. (Model: PAK43 Emplacement)
20mm Polsten:
British used a lot of light AA guns, mainly 20mm Polsten, in either single, triple, and even quad mounts. Should be included in British faction although they have bofors already. (Model, German Flak 38 20mm emplacement)
link: https://www.historicalfirearms.info/post/151854983984/ordnance-polsten-20mm-cannon-developed-by-polish
Blacker Bombard:
One of the three AT weapons used by Home Guard. Inspired the PIAT. Can be included in the Trench Warfare Doctrine. Can be stationed in trenches. (Model: Raketenwerfer 43 'Puppchen' in a trench, or using flak38 20mm emplacement instead)
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blacker_Bombard
25pdr:
5.5 inch is already in the trench doctrines, but 25pdr should be available at to other two doctrines.
Fairey Stooge:
British WW2 SAM (Surface to Air Missile) project. Development started from 1944, it was not completed before the war ended, but was funded until 1947.
Z Battery:
The British AA rocket used mainly in Home Defence, used from 1940 until the end of the war. It is also used in Africa, both AA and ground attack purpose. The ground attack version also inspired Land Mattress.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z_Battery
Bristol Bloodhound:
British SAM in early cold war, service started from 1958, probably a little too late to actually fit in the game.
Underground Operation Base/Scallywag Bunkers:
Used by GHQ Auxiliary Units against German invasions, part of the British Home Defence measurements. Can also represent other Special Forces operation bases. Camouflaged, can reinforce and station infantry units. Infantry units stationed inside will regenerate health. Can only be detected with mine detectors.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scallywag_bunker
Flame Fougasse:
British flame trap used for Home Defence, very powerful. It will explode and project burning liquid to the targets. This is an emergency Anti-Tank measure used by British for home defence. In the game, it can be treated with a mine with shooting directions. It can be player manually controlled, and will hidden. Once triggered by the player, it will explode and shoot massive fire walls toward the facing directions for a distance, not only destroy infantry, shock and damage enemy vehicles, but also left a huge area of impassable fire walls. Can only be detected with mine detectors.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flame_fougasse
Vedio Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8BNRPO0O0g
British Pillbox/Bunkers:
Should be included as part of the Trench Warfare Doctrine. They are heavily used for British Home Defences.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_hardened_field_defences_of_World_War_II
Pickett-Hamilton fort:
One of the British Pillbox designs, it was designed to be lowered into the ground while it was not in use. In game design, it can be camouflaged. When the bunker is camouflaged, it cannot be detected, and it cannot fire at all. It can upgrade with MG options, and a single infantry squad can station inside.
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickett-Hamilton_fort
FV1620 Humber Hornet with Malkara ATGM:
British ATGM carrier. Humber Hornet was produced from 1958, which is quiet late. However, the Malkara ATGM is designed in 1954. In theory, the team can choose any armoured car and install the Malkara ATGM to it.
Centurion Mk3 with 20pdr gun:
Centurion Mk3 went into production in 1948, which is much earlier than the Charioteer tank which is already in the game. Centurion will very likely enter service if the war was not over. Plus it served in Korean War as well.
Priest Kangaroo:
The game already have Ram Kangaroo, so why Priest Kangaroo anyway? Well, because Kangaroo is used mainly for offensive operations. Kangaroo will carry infantry units, but these units will likely be accompanied by other armoured units. I would suggest Ram Kangaroo stay in Trench Warfare Doctrines, but adding a less protected Priest Kangaroo to Armoured Doctrines. (Model: M7 Priest but gun removed)
LVT-4:
Produced and widely used by Americans, but also the British during WW2. Different from Americans, British made many interesting modifications onto their LVT-4s. For example, many LVT-4 was installed with 20mm polsten AA gun. Other modifications include flame version Sea Serpent. Plus, it was used to carry some heavy guns, like 17pdr, cross the Rhine. (Model: M7 Priest but gun removed)
Can be included in Special Warfare Doctrines.

Skink :
Canadian made AA tank based on Grizzly chassis (Canadian made M4A1 tank). 4x 20mm polsten AA guns, very powerful and efficient at shooting and forcing enemies to surrender.
Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skink_anti-aircraft_tank
Experimental 6X6 Artillery Tractor with Quad 20mm Polsten Mount :
Experimental 6X6 Artillery Tractor is a Canadian project during WW2. It was designed as an wheeled armoured tractor to carry artillery, mainly 6pdr AT guns. However, there is an experimental version with quad 20mm polsten installed on the chassis. (Model: M16 Halftrack)
Link: https://milart.blog/2014/09/07/6x6-artillery-tractor/
Flame Vehciles :
Here, I will include a list of British flame vehicles. British/Canadians love using flame vehicles.
I already mentioned LVT-4 Sea Serpent as an upgrade option to LVT-4.
1. AEC Heavy Cockatrice: As part of the emergency anti-invasion vehicles program, armoured AEC truck with Lagonda flame thrower and Lewis guns.
Believe or not, the Lagonda is used as an AA flamethrower. (Model: M16 halftarck or M20 utility car)
link:
https://www.wargaming3d.com/product/aec-heavy-cockatrice/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagonda_flamethrower
https://www.reddit.com/r/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/comments/pb7cao/cockatrice_heavy_selfpropelled_flamethrower_with/
2. Willys Wasp
British also installed their beloved wasp flame thrower onto willys jeep. (Model: Dodge WC51 or German kubelwagen)
link: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=509558
https://warwheels.net/JeepPopskiSADLER.html
3. Badger Flamethrower Tank
Flame tank based on Ram chassis. Can serve as an upgrade to Ram Kangaroo.
Link: https://www.canadiansoldiers.com/vehicles/flamethrowers/badger.htm
4. Valentine flame-throwers
British experiments on Valentine tanks, two was made. (Model: Valentine tank)
Link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:IWM-MH-7574-valentine-flamethrower.jpg
A30 Challenger:
Lengthened Cromwell chassis to install a 17pdr gun onto it. Although not produced in a huge number, this was used in combat in 1944-1945 by British army. (Model: A34 Comet)
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cruiser_Mk_VIII_Challenger
Armadillo armoured fighting vehicle:
Part of British Home Defences. Armoured trucks (Mostly Bedford O series) used mainly by RAF and Home Guards to patrol and transport personals around airfields.
I would suggest the MkIII version since it has several Lewis LMG mounted and a COW 37mm gun mounted backward.
It can carry one or two squads, mounted squad will be able to shoot on vehicle. (Model, WC51 Dodge, M15 halftrack or Zis-5 truck)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillo_armoured_fighting_vehicle
M4 76mm:
British Commonwealth forces also received M4 76mm tanks through lend-lease, they are mainly used in Italian theatre since Britain cannot supply enough Firefly tanks to Italy.
M4 105mm:
British Commonwealth forces also received M4 105mm tanks, and used them in all theatres, including NW Europe and Italy.
M5 Stuart:
British Commonwealth received many M3/M5 stuarts and used them mainly as recon vehicles.
M4A2E8:
Canadian received many M4A2E8 after the war.

It is a little late to talk about this, but I already mentioned the team kinda lack creativity on the British designs. Hence, I will provide some inspirations on how to make the British doctrines more juicy.
First, British should be a multi-national faction. Why? Simply because the British Commonwealth and Britain helped most exiled government during the war.
Second, since almost all factions have some fiction natures in their designs, British should also receive their fictional parts.
Original Roster + Indian/ANZAC troops + Home Defence Tactics
The trench warfare is a British WW1 stereotype, and it works pretty good in the mod. I will try to expand it with additional units, weapons, emplacements, etc.
Some thoughts on the base doctrine roster:
2pdr AT Gun: low tier AT gun in British Field HQ, no additional tech needed, weak but fast firing. Very large angle or fire, to represent the 2pdr 360 degree rotating mechanics.
I would suggest move 2 inch trench mortar "toffee apple" to British Field HQ as well. I suggest so because more units will be added to platoon command post.
Also, I would add a hero squad to each doctrine, for the trench warfare doctrine, I will introduce you, the Dad's Army! It is an old British war comedy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dad%27s_Army
Probably Black Adder from the TV show also can made into the competition. Although the TV show set in a WW1 background, and the old Black Adder probably died in the field. But there must be a young black adder who, most likely joined the second world war.
Some new units should also be considered to be added here.
1. Archer Tank Destroyer: Why here? Archer is designed as mobile 17pdr, and it served in Royal Artillery corps as the Achilles. However, it is different since Archer are mainly used to support Infantry formations. So, it should end up to support infantry, like the Trench Warfare Doctrine, not in Armoured Corps, since it is not its role.
2. Not really new units, but some design/status/name changes. First, bulldog tank can actually being named after TOG 1, since that tank is designed like WW1 tank. Tog-2 main gun can have better damage/penetration status, since it is not a 17pdr gun but a 94mm tank gun, aka the QF 3.7 inch AA gun.
3. 32pdr AT gun: when you have this heavy baby, why do we still need the 17pdr emplacement? 32pdr definitely fits the "Trench Warfare" concept since it is too heavy, and can punch a hit in these German heavy armors like KT or even E100&Maus.
Indian + ANZAC:
Why these units? While, since first, Trench Warfare is a meat grinder tactics, you throw in cheap infantry and try to hold trench lines. Both ANZAC and Indian units kinda fits this category since how British used them in WW1, and even WW2.
Secondly, since Japanese and USMC is in the mod, so British Commonwealth Pacific and Far East units should be presented in the mod.
Third, Africa, Siege of Tobruk. Very "Defensive", fit the idea of Trench Warfare.
Fourth, Britain lacks the manpower, in 1944-45 they already faced serious manpower shortage. It is very reasonable they introduce more British Commonwealth units to European sector if possible.
Home Defence:
Trench Warfare is about statics and defensive tactics. British Home Defence is very similar to this concepts. There are many interesting options available.
Secondly, I already mentioned, British lack manpower. Home Guard is the British emergency acts to gather volunteers to defend the homeland. It is possible these badly trained militias will be sent to the front line as static and guard units in a trench warfare. They do not need to attack the enemies, but they need to fill the gaps and probably defend potential threats.
How the mechanics works?
After the British player choose Trench Warfare, they can select additional options in their platoon and company Command Post (I will call it CP from now on)
In Platoon CP, player can choose either 1. Far East Support /2. Home Guard Mobilisation
Option 1. Far East Support will unlock players Far East units. Option 2. Home Guard Mobilisation will unlock home guard units and emplacements.
In Company CP, again, player can choose either 1. Empire Fortress/ 2. Home Defence Emergency Acts.
Option 1. Empire Fortress will unlock further special units and emplacement, while option 2. Home Defence Emergency Acts will unlock further home defence units and emplacements.
I will explain each option in details.
Far East Support
1. Indian Infantry: Low tier infantry, armed with rifles, serve as a weaker tommy squad. Will be added to Field HQ.
2. Indian Sniper squad: 2 man sniper team, 2 snipers. Can be further upgraded with Boys AT rifle as sniper rifle.
3. Diggers: Australian and New Zealand infantries, armed with Boys guns. Can be upgraded with Charlton Auto-rifle. Can throw sticky AT grenades to tanks, an all-around mid tier infantry. Can place simple emplacements and dig trenches.
4. Matilda Frog: Matilda flame thrower tank. If possible, we can make a fictional tank with both the 3 inch 76mm close support gun, and also a flame thrower as coaxial weapon. (Like KV-8) We can call it Matilda Frog II.
5. 3.7 inch Mountain Gun: light artillery unit.
6. 3 inch Universal Carrier: Designed by Australians, should be included as Bren carrier upgrades or as a unit. Mobile mortar.
7. AC I Sentinel Cruiser Tank: Australian made medium tank, armed with 2pdr 40mm gun.
8. M5 Stuart: Add M5 Stuart to Platoon CP.
Home Guard Mobilisation
1. Home Guard: A badly trained, but cheap large squad. Like conscripts, they can reinforce other units. 10-15 men squad. Can upgrade with different weapons to boost their combat capabilities. Can throw molotov and sticky AT grenades. Can construct field defences. Upgrade options: 2x Lewis LMGs, Winchester M1907 Semi-Auto rifles, Boys AT guns, or Browning BAR.
2. Naval Squad: infantry squad formed by naval personals, not as good as normal infantry, but high morals. They are armed with lewis LMG and lee enfield already.
3. Armadillo armoured fighting vehicle: Armoured vehicles carrier.
4. Pickett-Hamilton fort and Pillbox able to be constructed.
5. Flame Fougasse trap able to be constructed.
6. Blacker Bombard emplacement able to be constructed.
7. Smith Gun: An anti-tank artillery piece used by the British Army and Home Guard, part of the home defence.
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_Gun
8. Beaverette Recon Car Mk. III: recon car, armed with single bren gun, but can be upgraded with 4x .303 browning AA ball mount.
link: https://panzerserra.blogspot.com/2014/01/beaverette-mk-iii-aa-prototype-part-01_18.html
9. A13 Crusader: retired, but it can still serve in Home Guards to boost their firepower.
Empire Fortress:
1. Gurkha: High tier shock Units, can upgrade with Tommy guns and probably other weapons. Can charge enemy, very hard to suppress, close range will easily suppress enemy units. Super strong close range combat capability.
2. Ram Kangaroo: Remove Ram Kangaroo from roster, add it to Empire Fortress as an additional units. Can upgrade with 1. 20mm polsten AA gun, 2. Ram Badger. Both upgrade will still allow the vehicle to carry three squad of infantry and allow them to shoot inside.
3. Matilda Hedgehog: Australian made Multiple Rocket Launcher based on Matilda chassis.
4. BL 9.2-inch howitzer: There is 5.5 inch, but why not bigger guns? Welcome the WW1 most famous British heavy artillery, it is the best fit to the trench warfare.
5. AC IV 17-pdr Armed Sentinel Cruiser Tank: 17pdr Medium Tank prototype developed by Australian.
Link: https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/Australia/AC4_Sentinel.php
6. AC III Thunderbolt tank: Australian made Medium Tank, armed with 25pdr gun as its main gun. An experimental test platform version with dual 25pdr turret existed, which can definitely serve as an upgrade.
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbolt_tank
https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldofTanks/comments/u21sjx/a_australian_sentinel_tank_with_a_twin_barreled/
7. Maori: Native NZ people, fought hard in WW2. In Italian theatre, 3rd NZ division had some maori units, but they were treated poorly. As a result, Maori always need to find their own supplies and weapons. This is an Elite Long range Infantry units with German weapon Upgrades, simply because these Maoris loot these weapons. Upgrade option: 1. 2x German MG, 2. 1x MG46 laser MG + panzerfaust ability, 3. 2x PzB54 rocket launcher.
Special Call-ins: Creeping Barrage
Home Defence Emergency Acts:
1. GHQ Auxiliary Units: Home Guard Special Units, Shock Squads, Raid units. Can be spawned from buildings. Armed with tommy guns, can be upgraded with X1A1 FAL or EM2. Can construct Underground Operation Base/Scallywag Bunkers, barricades, mines.
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_Units
Underground Operation Base/Scallywag Bunkers can be constructed by GHQ Auxiliary Units.
2. Military Cadets Squad: Units formed by military cadets, they are young and well trained, not battle-hardened, probably also a little fragile due to its nature, but understanding most military and tactical technologies and concepts. They can serve in multiple purpose, temporary leaders, operate communication devices and call in support, or just serve as normal infantries. This squad will be limited in numbers, three squads on battlefield maximum. They are armed with bolt action rifles and a Bren gun. But they can receive further upgrades, 1. Officer training, 2. Communication Training, 3. Assault Leader training.
Officer training will give the squad commander aura to nearby units, unlock some commander abilities. Communication Training will unlock off map recon, mortar barrage and smoke barrage. Assault Leader will give the squad aura, inspire nearby units move faster, attack harder, and take less damage and suppression. Three upgrade will also grant the squad different weapon sets. 1. EM2 with 2x Vickers K LMG, 2. X1A1 rifle with X1A1 sniper rifle, 3. Sterling with Bren + M20 Bazooka.
3. Z Battery Emplacement: Land Mattress model, serve very similar to US patriot system already in the mode. Direct fire multiple rocket launcher, can serve as AA gun as well.
4. Churchill Z Battery carrier: Never existed, but this was inspired by a model box painting.
link: https://www.reddit.com/r/TankPorn/comments/xf82z1/british_7inch_antiaircraft_rocket_launcher_box_art/
5. Churchill 3 inch gun carrier: well, why not?
6. AEC Heavy Cockatrice: Armoured Flamethrower truck, can target air units.
7. British 4-inch (101.6mm) Mobile Naval Gun/AEC Mammoth Major armed with a BL 4-inch Mk IX naval gun (Or other naval gun trucks):
link: https://www.reddit.com/r/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/comments/eagg5l/british_4inch_1016mm_mobile_naval_gun_during_wwii/
https://www.reddit.com/r/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/comments/zf8vo6/aec_mammoth_major_armed_with_a_bl_4inch_mk_ix/
British converted many trucks into naval gun carriers for home defence purpose. It can serve as a glass cannon unit, very powerful but easy to die.
Special Call in: Winnie and Pooh BL 14-inch Mk VII Coastal Gun Barrage.
Both Winnie and Pooh are taken from HMS King George and served as coastal guns.
link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dover_Strait_coastal_guns

If the Trench Warfare means Static, Defence, and Artillery; then the Armoured Warfare Doctrine represent Assault, Breakthrough, and Steel.
This is a mobile doctrine, focus on attack instead of defence. However, as mentioned before, Britain lack the manpower, so they need some other solutions...

United Front
British Commonwealth, plus many exiled governments. During the war, many soldiers wear the British uniform, shoot British firearms, drive British vehicles, even under British commands, but they are not British. They might be Canadian, Polish, French, Greek, Italian, Belgian, Dutch, Czech, even Yugoslavia and other nations. I will make the united front part of the additional option available to armoured doctrine.
Mechanic Heart
This is inspired by Warlord KONFLIKT '47, but also the steel punk fictions. Britain lacks manpower, so how do they solve the problem? Let's just create more "people"! These robots are not super flexible, or smart, but they are cheap, and they do not afraid to fight for King and Country.
The Armoured Warfare already have too many units, there is not much slots left to actually fill in more units, this is due to British only have 3 HQ buildings.
As a result, I will suggest make additional British HQ buildings. It can either be constructed by sappers like the Radar ones already in the mod, or additional mobile buildings like the German SWS or WC-51 deploy-able base in some other mods.
This feature should be considered to all British doctrines, since they probably need it for more slot space.
Or a second page option can be added if possible.
For COH1 and COH2, it is historical to not include any Aussie or New Zealanders (Although Relic also makes some historical mistakes in their games). Both focused on Western front 1944+, which is not the sector Aussie and NZs fought. Aussie redeployed all its forces back to Pacific after Africa Campaign + Japanese attack. (Aussie's decision to move back all its forces also heavily damaged its relationship with Britain)
NZ on other hands, did not move back all its forces, even it has a much smaller army than the Aussies. The NZ 3rd Division fought in italy, but not NW europe.
In COH3 at least the Aussie appeared, and we can treat them as NZs as well. (Although I know there are some differences, and calling them ANZAC is kinda wrong in WW2, since ANZAC is a Great War specific term) It makes more sense because the game focused on Africa and Italy.
But for this mod, surely, it is kinda disappointed, they included Japanese, but not other countries, like Aussie, NZ, Canadian, Indian, South African, Brazilian, Chinese, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Finnish, Belgian, Dutch, Polish... etc
Let's start with three posters, and then dive into this concept.
Together/ United/ Freedom shall Prevail
https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/27971
https://www.reddit.com/r/PropagandaPosters/comments/1hrb0p/united_nations_propaganda_poster_and_its_allied/
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Freedom_shall_prevail!_-_DPLA_-_b0c9b437727d3a683688c8a4860772b5.jpg
1. Since Archer is removed from this doctrine, M10 Wolverine can make into this doctrine.
2. Sapper can be moved back to Field HQ with its Sterling SMG upgrade being taken away
3. Motorised Infantry: change the name for mechanised infantry to motorised infantry, the heavy weapon upgrade is not needed since other units will be available.
In this part, I will make both real and more fictional units, which will definitely fit the mod's setting.
Let's first start with Canada. Canada is a large war factory and research facility for Britain during the war. They have several advantages, 1. Far from any fronts, 2. Close to America, 3. Lots of resources. Canada provided many military equipment to different nations (Including Britain, Soviet, China, etc) and had the 4th largest naval fleet after the war. (Most of them are convey ships though)
And since Aussie retreat and redeploy all its land forces to Pacific after 1943 Africa Campaign, Britain needs new solutions to its manpower shortage problem. Canadians, well, there is dieppe raid and Hong Kong, so I won't say the British treated them that well. But from 1943 onward, British does give Canadians more respects because one or another reason (Yes, lobby is part of this. Canadian lobbied British to win some more respects.)
Combine these two factors, we can make a fictional setting, where Canada serve as the British research facilities/war factories at the same time. Then, Canadians will be a main factor of the new "Breakthrough Army" since British need new troops to fill the gap.
So, does this concept make sense, it does not need to, but it does. Canadian First Army existed from 1944-1945, and let's see some units listed in the order of battle:
1. Almost all Canadian units,
2. Polish 1st Armoured division (Winged Hussar),
3. British 15 Scottish Division (famous for its Scottish corridor in Operation Epsom),
4. Brit 6 AB division (The one who parachuted on D-Day),
5. 1st Belgian Brigade (Almost the only Belgian large formation served on NW Europe, part of 6 AB Division),
6. 51st Highlander (One of the most famous British Infantry division, fought from 1940 France all the way to the end of the war)
7. XXX Corp, one of the most famous british corp in 1944-1945, including following divisions:
8. Guard Division
9. 43 Wessex (New infantry division same as 15 Scottish, but very good since they are fresh. British generals prefer these new divisions to take on assault missions, since some veteran ones, like 50, 51, and 7th Desert Rats are too exhausted and won't take these heavy causality duties "properly". Yes, these British Veterans will find their ways to avoid many "hardworks". 43 is one of the leading division in Operation Epsom and many following Operations)
10. elements from 79 Funnies
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Canadian_Army
Yes, I only listed some, and many of the listed ones only served in Canadian First Army for a period of time. However, it does makes up the point, a Strong, Elite, Anglo-Canadian breakthrough formation should exist.
Build on this idea, let's move to the real part:
I would suggest the same upgrade mechanic, two options in Platoon CP, two options in company CP. Options in Platoon CP focus on infantry/light vehicle options, while the two options in Company CP focus on elites/armors.
1. Second Wave
1. Belgian Grenadier: Recon infantry. Very similar to tommy but large range of view. Lee Enfield rifle with 1 Bren gun, Gammom bomb ability also. Can be upgraded with Sten SMG to boost close range damage or X1A1 rifle to boost long range damage.
2. Czech Zeniste: Meaning sapper. This is the mid tier assault unit, represent the Czech Independent Armoured Brigade. Lee enfield rifle with 1 Bren, 1 PIAT, and 1 flamer.
3. Polish Dragoni: Polish mechanised infantry, dragoons. This is just the British mechanised inf arty with weapon upgrade, so they carry Bazooka and Lewis/Vickers K guns.
4. Italian Alpine: Sharpshooter unit, 6 men squad, all rifle. Can upgrade with sharpshooter pack. This is from the Italian Co-belligerent army. They used mainly British uniform and weapons.
5. M4 76mm Sherman: M10 wolverine has the same gun as M4 76mm sherman, so why M4 76mm sherman still? 1. South Africa used M4 76mm shermans in Italy Theater, 2. better protection.
6. M3 Scout Car, many British units used this vehicle, so it can be added to this faction.
7. 4.2 inch mortar: British WW2 heavy mortar. This will heavily boost British artillery capability for Armoured Doctrine.
8.
1. Mechanical Brain
This is the robot option for British, with this, British now can throw in robots and some robot piloted vehicles.
1. Sentinels: British robots, armed with Sten SMG, close range shock units, like their German counter part, move slow, but high health. No range of view on its own. Can be upgraded with Flame thrower.
2. Heavy Sentinels: Armed with Bren guns, can upgrade with Vickers K/Lewis gun or Bazooka. No range of view on its own.
3. Automated Mobile Platform: A squad of tracked platform robots, armed with 3 Bren guns on each robots. (Ex, 3 robots squad mean 9 bren guns)
Upgrade:
Hunter: remove bren guns, add clip reload 40mm 2pdr gun or 37mm gun, AT focused.
Lancer: remove bren guns, 2 heavy machine gun + 1 20mm auto cannon, anti personal focused, can suppress infantry easily.
Bombardier: remove bren guns, add in 1x 3inch mortar, light artillery focused.
4. Auto Universal Carrier: Universal Carrier with robots, spawn in with M2 browning mg and bren gun. Can be upgrade with 1. twin 20mm polsten auto cannon, 2. Robot suicide bomb squad (can kamakaze enemy like Goliath, but more boom because more explosive carried), 3. Robot Command Post. provide a large range of view, some robot coordinate abilities, makes it very good to support the robots.
5. Death Blade: a melee robot units, super thick health, move very slow, can cut enemy infantry in pieces.
6. Robot Heavy Sniper: Slow moving sniper, carry Tesla AT sniper rifle, slow rate of fire, but super powerful AP capability. Can take down enemy light or even medium armour with ease.
7. Robot Cromwell tank: normal Cromwell, but no range of view. Since it is robot, it requires much less manpower to produce.
8.
Elite Breakthrough Force
This focused on Assault, infantry is about firepower, tank is about damage and fast moving. Your tactics in this doctrine is easy, move, flank, hunt. You have the arsenals to push the front lines for sure, but it is better you use them in a mobile warfare to make the most of the combination.
This upgrade will also include a FV214 Conqueror, although you can only get one of these beast on the field, but you can push the German line with this beast. Let s the Germans feel what it is like to face such a powerful tank.
1. British Power Armour Infantry
British power armour infantry, lend leased by US.
2. Canadian Shock Troop
Elite Canadian Shock unit, eat enemy infantry in short range, armoured. Can upgrade Sterling SMG for close range damage, EM2 for all range damage, or M20 super Bazooka for AT damage. Can throw assault grenades, AT grenades (or single use Rocket launcher), and Satchel charges.
3. A34* Comet Crocodile
This is the combination of the real world A34* Comet and Comet crocodile. A34* means the additional slope armour, so this comet has the speed, 77mm gun, more armour, and flame thrower!
4. Centurion MkIII with 20pdr gun
Since the mod already had Centurion MkI, why not add Centurion MkIII to boost the doctrine? It entered service in 1948, so if the war continued, it will definitely end up on the battlefield to fight the German heavy armours. Can consider upgrade with IR sight like the real world ones. And yes, British also tested their IR sight on vehicles at the end of WW2, so it is not just a "German" super technology.
5. FV1620 Humber Hornet with Malkara ATGM or FV4010 with Malkara ATGM
Either is ok, but I d suggest Humber one since it is a fast moving but low health vehicle. It will be a tank hunter, shooting really long range and high damage, but will die easily.
6. Skink
Canadian made AA tank, 4x polsten can tear down any infantry units with ease. It also has the ability to shoot incendiary AP rounds, which will boost its armour piercing and damage at the same time. This can also easily suppress enemy infantry. Also very efficient against aircraft.
7. FV214 Conqueror
Yeah... probably should not end up in here, since... it is too late. But whatever, who do not want to see Conqueror fighting against German heavy armours? This is the super heavy tank for British with a powerful 120mm guns. It is super slow, but who cares when it has such a firepower and heavy armour? Let the Germans be headache to deal with this Super tank!
Can upgrade into Super Conqueror with more armour. Like Black Prince in og mod, limited number to one.
8. FV4005
Because Company CP has two upgrades, so the original Hammer specialisation can be included in this doctrine. FV4005 can be added in to boost the AT ability.
9. Sexton SPG
Well, I really do not see the point of Sexton still being a Commander units in this mod... so let;s add it in here, because it is a SPG and its duty is to support armour units.
Heavy Funnies
The funnies infantry is not as strong as its counterparts, but they are much larger in the numbers. The armour... it is heavy, bulky, it is all about slow but steady push.
1. Canadian Kangaroo Rifle
This is a large squad infantry units, slow but well equipped, best to mount in the Kangaroo carrier. Start with 4 Bren, 4 EM2 rifle, and 2 M9 Bazooka.
2. Priest Kangaroo
Priest Kangaroo, converted from the Priest SPG. Best work with Kangaroo rifle.
3.
4. A33 Assault Tank or Cromwell MkVII with even extra armour
Probably the only "Quick" tank in this option. It can either be the A33 tank or a heavier armoured Cromwell tank (like Cromwell MkVII or some fictional tank). Its gun is weak, but it is fast and high health high armour. It is best to hunt down some retreating low health vehicles, harass enemy light armour and infantry, mobile recon, or just the cannon folder when you want to push the frontline.
5. bristol bloodhound AA missle
Emplacement which can be built by the British. It is super efficient at taking down aircraft, even can destroy Ho-229 level bomber, but it can only anti-air, cannot shoot any ground unit.
6. Black Prince
The Black Prince and Hammer Anvil specialisation can be added to this upgrade option. Black prince does not really need a number limitation, since I believe there is none on the German heavy tanks, the Russian IS-4, or the US T26E4 Super Pershing. Black Prince costs like 300 fuels, and it already takes forever for this beast.
7. A39 Tortoise Heavy Assault Tank
The British heavy assault tank with 32pdr gun, pretty much the US T-95 tank destroyer.
8. Churchill Mk.III with ‘Ardeer Aggie’ Mortar
9. M7 Priest SPG
Hi,
thank you for the info, but it seems I m too late to post any new ideas for the new doctrines. Personally, I believe I have some pretty cool ideas, probably won't be popular, but I prepared for this kind of topic for a long time and generated some ideas. (And some are inspired by other media, games, fictions, etc) But yeah... I m too late for anything.
And thank you for the reply. I m not sure if you or the team read any of my ideas/thoughts, but I m still very glad you are here.
And again, I apologise some of my words may sounds critical, judging, or aggressive. I m sorry if that is the case.
The team is definitely doing a great job, and keep up this fantastic work!
Lastly, I still hope some of my ideas can at least inspire the team, or probably there is a way I can still submit some doctrine concepts for Allied nations for the vote. I can at least put 2-3 doctrines each for all three Allied factions.
I ll keep posting things here constantly, if anything at least helped generating some good ideas, I m very happy to hear so.
