What Version/DLC do I need for this?
So I've gotten interested in CoH2 entirely based on youtube videos of this mod in particular, the problem being that the actual game is split up between several versions that give different factions as well as DLC generals and all that jazz.
So as someone who doesn't have the game yet, what all should I be looking at to have Nazi Zombie Funtimes?

If you wanna spends the least amount of money, the standard game and the OKW faction DLC.

Or you could wait for sale where this game and everything will cost less than dirt.

So do any of the generals matter or anything like that?
Also by OKW faction DLC do you mean the "Western Front Standalone" whatever thing that I THINK unlocks the actual faction? Or specifically the three OKW specific dlcs that do doctrines or whatever?
This ♥♥♥♥ is VERY confusing to get into without context sadly.

If possible could you maybe list different DLCs for...frankly everything about the mod tbh, in case there are others like me that might be interested in a different faction or whatnot?

The commanders don't affect the doctrines, they are selected in the HQ when you have the mod. So to play the doctrines, specifically the zombie one, all you need the OKW faction which has the doctrine. The commanders that you can buy have been updated by the mod makers to do some custom stuff, but don't do much else.

And yes Western Front standalone, not the OKW dlc.

Had time so i decided to type this out. Took ~40mins. This is every single spec and should be almost all commander unit changes. May be imssing some, i'm doing this off memory.

all specs:
Ostheer
Heavy Infantry
Panzerkraft
Imperial Japanese Army
Regio Esercito (Italians)

Soviet
Revolution of the People
Armoured Rush
Shock Army

OKW:
Wunder-Luftwaffe - offmaps and elite units
Phoenix Projekt - spam
Chem - elite units, critting and debuffing

USF
Heavy Ordnance - elites
United States Marine Corps - offmaps(more air oriented) and elites
War Bonds - good eco, bad units, for support

UKF
Raid - elites, camo and gliders
Trench - basically inf only
Royal Armour - good armor
Magic - elites, inf ability / offmaps


Commanders:(Not in detail, theres also a lot of minor changes to stats and costs but too much effort)

Ostheer

Stuka Loiter now has incend and instapins
Bombing runs have more dramatic effects.

Pak-43 -> Pak-45
LeFH also unlocks a missile bunker

Elefant has an autoloader
Tiger has a gmg upgrade
Tiger Ace has all kinds of goodies given to it
Pz-4J -> IKV VI
Pz-4 Command is call in and has an atgm abiltiy.
Stug 3 fires 3 shells
Puma has an autoloader

G43 rifles is now a passive that replaces all mainline squad rifles w faction g43 equivalent.
Stormtroopers have stat buffs
Veteran Squad Leaders is applicable to far more units.
Ostruppen have faction-specific upgrades.
Arty Officer replaced with a officer w aura buff and retreat point


Soviet

Basically no change to offmaps

Fortifications lets them build a super-heavy tank blocking tank trap

IS-2 -> IS-4m Vozhd
KV-1 -> T-43
KV-8 can now fire both guns at once
T-34-85 -> T-44-100
M4 Sherman -> Killdozer Sherman

PPSH inf upgrade now grants AK-43s
PTRS inf upgrade now grants bazookas
Weapon crate grants inf AKs
Guards -> Red Banner Guards
Shock Troops -> Spetsnaz
Partisan -> Civilian Mob
DshK -> 20mm shvak
120mm -> Mountain Gun
Sov Airborne can be paradropped




OKW

Assault Arty covers entire sector
105mm is slightly stronger than vanilla

Pak43 -> super raketan or whatever its called
LeFH also unlocks missile bunker

Tiger -> Orbital Drop Shock Tiger
Sturmtiger -> Kriegsender
Ostwind -> Raketenwerfer Ostwind

Feuersturm Assault Package now grants fgs instead of mp40s.
Falls have full FGs from start
JLI have cool upgrades and g43 from start. They kinda suck though
Pfusi is 6 models and has better upgrades.

Rocket Loiter has 4 planes
P47 Strafe -> AC-130 Loiter

Pershing -> T30 Heavy
M4A3E8 -> Needler Sherman
Calliope -> Whizbang
M4 105mm -> Sherman Killdozer
M4 76mm -> M9 Tank Destroyer
M10 -> Hellcat
Commander M8 Greyhound has a special gun

Rangers -> Delta Force Operators
Assault Engineers have 6 models
Cavalry Riflemen have unique guns
Pathfinders have 5 weapons and a special upgrade


UKF

Observation Post has more arty options

Crocodile -> Black Prince Crocodile
M10 has a better gun

Commando Glider Insertion -> Royal Marine Glider Insertion
81mm -> 60mm Triple Mortar
Land Maty -> Rat Mattress
