Mod Not Launching
Hi all, I reviewed the pinned "Solving Issues With Launching Mods" thread and found it to be unhelpful for my situation, so I am hoping for some suggestions here.

I have installed both Empire at War and Forces of Corruption through Steam. When I use the "Play" button on the Steam Empire at War page in my library, I have the option to select wither EaW or FoC. When I choose EaW, the game launches like normal. However, when I try to launch FoC through Steam, it consistently fails - the button goes through a few changes like it is trying to launch, but always resets within about 3 seconds. I am able to manually launch FoC by going into my program files and clicking the "StarWarsG" application launcher. When I do so and then go into options -> mods and select "Thrawn's Revenge", the game shuts down instantly and does not re-launch.

I subscribed to the Thrawn's Revenge mod and, although it does not show up in my Steam downloads manager, the files do show up in my program files at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\32470". However, I do not have a "Mods" subfolder in my "corruption" folder with the game files - noting this as I have seen some threads referring to a Mods subfolder.

I have seen the various threads/troubleshooting threads suggesting modifying the launch options with various commands; I have tried several, including "Modpath=..\..\..\workshop\content\32470\1129810972". These do not work, I assume due to whatever is preventing me from launching FoC through Steam in the first place.

Restarting Steam / my computer has not helped, and I have already tried deleting all files and reinstalling. As additional info, my computer is a Macbook Pro, and I am running the game through Parallels Desktop to run Windows virtually.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Did this ever get solved?

Keyword here is Mac system so not much feedback I guess. Well, you could check that you run the two exe files AND steam with admin rights. And also set e.g. winxp compatibility on the two exe files (foc and starwarsG I think they are called ?), maybe you get lucky. Maybe. Also verify your game files/cache in steam. Also there is an option "steam overlay" or similar in steam. Turn that off.
