Militia Archers have a higher upkeep cost than Border Ranges while being vastly worse in every way than both Border Ranges and Crossbowmen (and BPs start with a t3 barracks, so there's no infrastructure gating of Rangers or Crossbowmen either). I'd suggest either reducing their upkeep and cost across the board, or either keeping their upkeep and halving their cost so that they're good as a very cheap quick emergency force (while still not being especially sustainable due to being motley levy troops), or alternately keeping the cost and halving their upkeep so there's some logistical incentive to maintaining a few. The base mod has the same issues of course, but I generally use SFO as my foundation so I figured I'd mention it here.
