Same I can't save or overwrite :(
it seems very safe to assume this is like happening to almost everyone using mod.
I just switched over to Simple Mod Manager or whatever its called. Its a bit complicated at first, but at least it actually works.

Give https://github.com/DoctorVanGogh/ModSwitch/releases/tag/1.0.1.7a-beta a try. That version should fix the issue with creating new ModSets.

It also includes some nifty new features.
