This section is specific to questions/comments we get often. Please read this before commenting in our main section, you might find an answer to something you were about to type.

C: Can I use Spast.ik's Toybox in a Mod Review/Gmod Video?
A: Yes, but only if you acknowledge that S&G Munitions created this addon, both in the video itself, verbally spoken or through text, and in the description. Modders generally put a lot of time and effort into their addons, this one is no exception. While it's not exactly fair to make our addon off limits to people that run youtube channels, it's also not fair for people to make thousands of dollars off of addons that are all made by other people for free without getting credit or anything. VanossGaming, VenturianTale, and TCTN are the biggest offenders of this, since they all make hundreds of thousands of dollars off of mods that took days to months of work. With that in mind, we don't mind if you use our addon, but there will be a lot of problems if you use it in a video, make money off of it, and never once give us any credit or acknowledge our mod group.

C: This addon crashes my game when I try to load a specific map!
A: While it may seem like our weapons are extremely complex to those that don't know much about coding, they're really not that complex. With that said, there's little to no code in this addon that could possibly break the game. In this situation, clean out your addons and try to keep only the essential content. Weapon packs like TFA, M9K, CW 2.0, etc. tend to take up more room than necessary and don't play well with each other as far to my knowledge.

C: Can I use code that is used in the toybox for my own weapons?
A: As long as you give credit to S&G Munitions and not to Spas.tik only, don't make blatant copies of our more complex weapons, and don't use our models, that's fine. I strongly suggest using the Toybox's code just for reference in case you want to see how we did something since it's better to learn how to make a function work as opposed to just copypasting it and forgetting about it. If you take our weapons, reupload them with different names, slap your name on them, say you made the models, and lead people to believe you're the one that did all of the work without mentioning us once, there'll be a problem.

C: Why is it called Spast.ik's Toybox? Is there stuff from the Garry's Mod Toybox here?
A: It's called Spast.ik's Toybox because when this started out, I was the only person working on it. I never expected for this to become as popular as it is nor did I expect to have five other people helping me out. It also has ZERO AFFILIATION with the old toybox feature from GMod 12.

C: Can I use these on my server?
A: Yes, by all means. Just be sure to report to us if you get any online bugs, we want these to be as online friendly as possible.

C: Why doesn't this addon have a base? Will you use M9K/GDCW/TFA/CW2?
A: It doesn't have a base at the moment for two reasons: one, this addon was made in 2012 before I truly knew how to code and when it was just Goredan and I working on the weapons and two, we're planning one right now. As for pre-existing ones, we won't be using them because the majority of them are meant to be used with Realistic weapons. I'd actually really like to try making SCK Customizable Weapons, but apparently CW2 and SCK models don't play well together sadly.

C: These guns look like they're from Borderlands/Fallout/etc.
A: Yeah, a lot of our weapons pulled inspiration from other game series such as Borderlands, Fallout, etc. Currently we're trying to break away from relying heavily on weapon designs from other games, so expect our weapons to look a lot different in the future.

C: Will you release more weapons?
A: Yes. We update this with new weapons every two months, reason being that these weapons take time to design and code. 2014's been pretty slow because I'd been bogged down with finishing High School in the first half, and pretty much everything that gets uploaded goes through me and then on to Goredan. We're still going to be working on this for a while though, I'm not going to give details out but we've got a lot planned for the next year or so. C: Will you guys add Ironsights?
A: No. The purpose of this mod is to stray from the usual SWEP formula here on the workshop (Sprint animations, iron sights, realism, etc.) and because Half Life 2's view models have missing faces (i.e. parts of the model are missing/invisible if you see the other side of the weapon) and were never intended for aiming. We might give SOME weapons iron sights if they go well with them, and we do have some that are slated to have them, but otherwise no, we will never in a million years give all of our weapons iron sights. They do not in anyway make things more fun.

C: Can you guys give these C_models?
A: Yes, actually, we can and will at some point. The only thing currently holding progress on that front back is porting over the Unarmed weapons which use a custom view model. We'd use the fist SWEP that comes packaged with Garry's Mod, but those don't use any sort of view model, but rather scripts that manipulate the c_hands into playing animations.

C: Are these reskins?
A: Nope. These are all fully functional, fully scripted weapons with view/world models created with Clavus' SWEP Construction Kit.

C: Can I design a weapon/give you guys an idea?
A: For functions, we have forum for Function Suggestions. As for models, we're no longer accepting any models on the basis that everyone's design style is different and therefore different models made by people other than Goredan, Myself, or the rest of the team would clash with the existing weapon models..

C: Can I join your design team?
A: At the moment we have six people working on this addon. I do about 85% of the designs, Goredan uploads the content and designs his own weapons, and we all work on the coding when we're working on an update. With that, we COULD take another member, but if you want to join us you'll have to be fairly skilled with coding in GLua and have a reasonable amount of time during the week to devote to helping us out. If you're skilled with creating textures, mapping, or editing models, message me personally and I can find something that you could help us with.

C: What map/song/addon did you use in this video?
A: Refer to the video descriptions for what songs, maps, and addons we've used to make it. We ususally try to list all of the content we've used for convenience. If a video's missing addons that were used or something, feel free to let us know.
