As for resources tying with the expansion.
As someone referred in the comments Sea Snails as a luxury resource (Culture/Gold?)
and Llamas as a pasture/camp bonus resource (Stats as Sheep?)
As for other resources Peacocks as it's seems an important animal in Asia.
These are a few resources that I find interesting in particular
Obsidian (With additions of volcanoes, this resource might be a good plus for civilizations to settle near volcanoes. Gives science + production)
Sulphur(Science+ production)
Papyrus (The early writing system developed along the Nile is tied with it! Gives culture + faith)
Tyrian Purple (An ancient expensive purple dye obtained from Mediterranean sea snails. It is related with royalty. Gives gold + culture)
Peacocks (Culture+Gold)
I am making an ancient Mediterranean Mod/Scenario. I'm currently finishing its TSL/TCN Map and I want to gradually implement several interesting mechanics from other mods (slavery, building-made resources...).
Resouceful2 offers a great diversity of resources and many of them are perfect for my purpose (Lapis, Barley, Ebony,Gold...)
I'd really appreciate if you could add the following (maybe better as a separate mod?):
- Papyrus (Bonus resource on Desert Floodplains. +1 Production, w/ Plantation +1 Science, +1 Religion)
- Turquoise (on plains/deser hills. been using vanilla Jade for this... + 4 Amenities, +2Gold, w/mine +1 Culture)
- Silphium (on plains hills. the birth control Pill of the Antique... should ideally be bound to CS Cyrene, grants to Suzerain +8 Amenities, but -1 Food)
- Garum (on Coast. a fish sauce, very important export of Carthage... +4 Amenities, +1 Gold, +1 Food)
- Tyrian purple (on Coast. Like Dyes but more exclusive and expensive: +4 Amenities, +2 Gold, +1 Culture)
These are of course niche resources, you wont find them lying all around the globe, but they were very important in the ancient/classical world.
EDIT: I see that other players (rassis87, JohnLeGreat...) requested some of these as well...
- Clay (found on all types of floodplains, a bonus resource +1 Production, in perspective I would like to implement Workshops making Pottery, maybe even Artifacts through Projects in cities with Clay)
- Carpets (made from Wool and Dyes in workshops)
