uhh
or could we just make an image of an idea of a planet instead of having to make an entireplanet ourselves as a mod when I dont have any modding experiece...
yeah I have a new dissgussion and I bet its going to drag me to you about some tecknical stuff because I know C#,but not <insert modding language here>.
ronon_dex 28 Jan, 2019 @ 3:06pm
and you...
are a modder angel
while Im just a C# worm XD
Kinesi  [developer] 28 Jan, 2019 @ 8:26pm
Modding is done in C#. Logic is created through C# runtime scripts and classes. Blocks and in-game (skyboxes, music, custom blocks) data is altered or created inside XML files. I can assure you I am no modder angel, I know basic concepts derrived mostly from C# in-game programming.
Also, the planets I'm talking about are the ones already on the workshop, I dont expect anyone to go out and make their own planets.

How does the planet temperature actually affect cooling?
I mean, can you use radiators to heat a spacecraft if it is to cold outside or do you need another way of generating heat?
And can you cool a spacecraft to below ambient temperature on a very hot planet?
Kinesi  [developer] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 10:34am
Radiators will target a safe temperature no matter the ambient temperature. If its cold they'll add heat, if its hot then the opposite.
NorusTheFourth 29 Jan, 2019 @ 10:47am
but what changes then? do you need more radiators the hotter or colder it is or does ambient temperature only the idle temperature of a ship or station?
Kinesi  [developer] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 1:37pm
Ambient temperature will influence the net target temperature that your ship will go towards. The radiator's job is to keep it within functional levels. Simply put, a hotter atmosphere will make it harder to cool down, while a colder one will make it easier. So you may need more radiators if its a hotter atmosphere to compensate for the added heat. The logical inverse is true to cold atmospheres. Remember that each radiator adds more cooling/heating power to control temperature.
