Bug Reports
IMPORTANT
If you have issues with Forty Years of War, please execute the following command: RT_DebugFYOW and copy-paste the log message it returns with your bug report.

Post bug reports here, but please don't report any of the following issues:
  • Psionic Storm only plays sound from one storm at a time, due to a base-game issue where a soundcue can only be played once per ObjectID
  • Networked OI does not work with CloseCombatSpecialistAttack or KillzoneShot. Unsure of exact cause, appears that CCS does not tick AbilityActivated
  • Sibyl's Gaze only works on enemies within Over The Shoulder's range when it is activated.
  • When first meeting The Program, selecting 'Carry On' instead of 'Assign New Resistance Order' causes a hang

Please report any psionic abilities that Sovereign does not interrupt here, and if they're from a mod, vanilla, or WOTC.

Im having an issue when i get the mission everything loads up i can move the units but as soon as im seen by advent or detected. It crashes. Not sure what it is iooked at the log but im going to try something.

it didn't show up the "Carry On" and "Assign New Resistance Order"... it just hang and there's nothing I can do... help... :'(

Posted this in the comments but I'll do it here too:

I'm not sure if this particular sitrep is mod-related, but it's called 'low profile,' demands that all soldiers on the mission be of Captain rank or below, and when I select my One Small Favor it won't let me deploy the Three Musketeers, because they're all leet as ♥♥♥♥.

That's just a thing.

Try entering the console command 'CompleteCurrentCovertAction'. I can't reproduce this bug myself, but I did encounter it several times before implementing a fix. AFAIK there shouldn't be a way for this to happen... but the vast array of possible game configurations means anything is possible.

Might be a SITREP conflict, that's low priority.

When I equipted the resistance card which allowed the other factions to gain an additional slot, it kept refreshing and adding new slots until i could equipt all cards i owned, and i still gained empty slots

Not sure wherether this is a bug or a feature, but I started the game with "Lost and Abandoned", and instead of Scirmishers having the quest to hunt Hunter, the Program had it.

Just to be clear, are you talking about the Covert Action to hunt the Hunter, probably titled something like "Behind Enemy Lines?"

That is definitely a bug. I'm not sure how that happened; although I guess it is possible, since I did not remove the templates for those actions after updating the influence model. Curious to know what extent stuff breaks. Also would be important to know if the Templars also end up going after the hunter, since there is code in there to try and 'sync up' the Program to them.

I don't know why but with the mod the "snake armor" skin are glitched :

Faction order : Just passing through is bugged. The Program Operative is in every non-story mission.

Faction order : Templars influence has not risen at all and no slots has opened. I have done all Templar faction covert actions.

Covert actions : Covert action Hunt the Chosen Hunter Part I is still available in Templars Covert actions even though I have already finished Parts 1,2 and 3.

I pushed a patch to deal with the JPT issue, LMK if it is still occuring. This is the second report of 'Hunt Chosen' covert actions, I'll investigate tonight.

I used the 3 program soldier team for stealth missions. first mission. rescue a soldier ( cpatured by an chosen). picked the soldier out of the arrest cell and brought him to the evac zone. all 3 soldiers plus the picked up soldier left to skyranger . mission failed no solider rescued. mission 2. rescue a soldier out of a arrest cell( left behind MIA). this time the arrest cell was hacked, and opened. the rescued living solider was not able to do anything. no move, no action none. it shows the blue and yellow walk area from the soldiers expected movement but had to be left behind because no action could be done with this soldier. stayed in the cell. so looks like for rescuing the program is not working. for fighting missions works well !
