Libya gained its independence after World War II in 1951, with Idris I (Emir of Cyrenaica) being crowned the King of the country. While the nation grew rich from oil discoveries, most of money flowed into the pockets of the monarchy. With the defeat of Egypt in the Six-Day War, the monarchy became increasingly unpopular due to its perceived pro-Israeli stance stemming from the country's pro-West alignment. In 1969, the unpopularity culminated with the military taking over the country under colonel Muammar Gaddafi. Gaddafi cemented his power and became the Libya's dictator. Israel will be debuting in WAW, as part of The World at War - Unique Units - Armies of the Arab League, Israel and Iran. It will have unique flavor units from the Cold War era onwards.

This is mostly when the British Mandate for Palestine was terminated in April 29, 1948; making it one of the civilizations of the Cold War and beyond. There'll be a scenario concerning it which deals importantly with the Suez Crisis, Six-Day War and Yom Kippur War.
