Is purple-like shoes just a lighting error with the map?

What do you mean? If you can, please provide a screenshot.

However, if I think I know what you are talking about, try disabling lighting (right click in the veiwport and uncheck the thing that says "Enable Lighting") then move the blue marker thing in the timeline a bit, then enable lighting again (the same way you disabled it, click on the "Enable Lighting" to check it). That should fix the issue.

How do I rotate the hands without making the cuffs really small?

I think that's a problem with the original rigging of the model, maybe once I get a better understanding of weight painting (basically, it controls how much a bone affects a specific part of the model.) I will try to fix it in blender. Sorry for that.

Wait, but in a preview image his hands are the way I want them to be. Was that created in blender? Either way, nice model anyway. I personally love his Smash design, especially the fact that they were lazy so Super Sonic is just Sonic reskinned, but animated to have his quills go upwards, so you can have the Classic, Adventure, or Modern design if you choose to use this model.

No, all of the preview images were created using source filmmaker. Quick question, are you using the rig link in the desc to pose him? After some "experimenting" his cuffs seem to only get small like that when the elbow is positioned "weird"
Also yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking with his super model. They also did that in brawl.

I was using the rig that the model came with. Is the linked rig better?

The 1st linked rigged script is a IK rig script, it makes posing and animating a lot easier. The 2nd one allows you to animate skins/bodygroups on models.

The "enable and then disable lighting" fix doesn't work for the shoes anymore, for me at least. Strangely, it's only happening with Sonic and not Super Sonic. It also only happens with certain areas of the shoes. I have tried restarting SFM and nothing worked.

hmm, could you send a screenshot, and whatever map you're using?

I'm using Green Hill Zone V2. The fix worked before, but it isn't properly working now.

I just found out that normal Sonic's shoes are just broken, explaining why it doesn't happen for any other models. If a fix could be provided for this, I would be grateful.

Oh, It's supposed to be like that. I made it that it uses the environment map of the map to make the shoe reflective

To remove this,
1. Right click on the model in the Animation Set Editor,
2. Click "Add Override Materials"
3. Right click on the model in the Animation Set Editor again, and hover over "Show in Element Viewer" and then click "Model"
4. Scroll down until you see materials, and click the "+"
5. Right click on "def_shoe_shoecolor" and hover over "Add Attribute" and click "float"
6. Where it says "newAttribute" replace that with "$envmaptint" (without the "")
7. Finally, set the value to 0 (it should be set to that by default)

That should remove the reflectiveness, but still keep it shiney. Also this method is only a temporary fix, and will only be applied to that model particular model.

I was thinking of removing the reflection, or toning it down on his shoes in the next update, since they don't really do that in smash ultimate.
