Please note it might be only a problem because of my mod usage... VRO and Faction Enhancer change the dynamics, and the Xenon quickly take over the outer systems. Most problems are for the split, but technically every entry point is a problem. And to make it worse, VRO has neutered the defense modules and removed half the turrets.
Sorry, I don't remember all Sector names, but only their positions.
But the Choke points are these :
Free Families fall the first. They have three entry points to Xenon Sectors on the left side of their territory. The single Xenon sector on the right side is NO threat, it doesn't spawn ships.
Fires of Defeat and the Sector south of it have the three entry points, that must be better protected.
The Split Patriachy is also in Danger by four entry points. You should seal of the left side in Wretched Skies, the north in Rys Defiance (or the sector below since the other one falls quickly) and the Sector NORTH of Tarkas Cascase. Another one is the one North of Sigma 957
Heretics End could also fall fast, and then it creates another entry point to Wretched Skies, so Wretched Skies has one Sector with 2 entry points.
I usually ignore the Paranid Enclave in Lithany of Fury and leave them to their fate.
Argon holds out better with the huge bases in the Void and Hatikvah's Choice.
Another Problem Point is on right with the Teladi. Ianamus Zura can fall and you loose the Trading Station with the representive.
Also I need to lock down the South gate in Company Regards, and on the right side of Company Regards is another sector that will become and entry gate.
A few bases might help to keep the factions alive longer, especially split, their econonmy breaks down very fast. But I must say it's also a problem with VRO and Faction Enhancer, the Xenon are very strong in this combination.
