Loving the new character and the unique mechanics he brings to the table! My only complaint is that Anathema seems disgustingly overpowered as a card. It was extremely easy to create Piety (creating wounds and exhausting them. Don't recall card names at the moment), and then 1-shot bosses with Anathema+. Maybe lower the damage multiplier, or up the cost of the card?

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, Anathema may be a bit strong at the moment. Will look into it :)

If Anathema is too powerful you could give it some delay like the Fervor kind of equivalent have Death Kneel 1 energy your attacks deal no damage for 3 (2) turns and gain 40 fervor after 3 (2) turns

So you would need to maintain your faith (if it goes by the faith you have when it triggers) or at least block for the turns it takes for it to trigger

For now, I've increased the cost by 1 (it's now 3, 2 upgraded) with the intention of making it harder to combo it with fervor or piety gain. I'll see if that's enough, but I'll keep a close eye on it!
Idea for balancing Awakened One fight - when you kill his minions with Piety (and they choose a new god), he gets mad and gets a buff - Strength or Ritual probably.

Does Gold Fever work with Cornucopia? It seems like exhausting Doubloons doesn't make it weaker, so I'm guessing no.

It might be interesting if Gold Fever worked like Perfected Strike, so Exhausting Doubloons would make it worse, and adding Doubloons would make it better. Then it'd work with Cornucopia, and add to that risk/reward of exhausting / keeping Doubloons.

If it isn't changed, I'd like to see a wording change on Gold Fever, since it currently has the same wording as Perfected Strike, but has different definitions of "in your deck."
It'd be nice if Remorse worked with all Hoard cards and not just Doubloons.

It seems odd that a card named "Alms" has antisynergy with Doubloons. I think the card is fine, it might just be better with a different name.

Maybe Mercenaries should have "(including this)" on it. It's a bit confusing, since Tithe is at the end of the card, not before, so it sort of seems like the Gold is paid AFTER the card checks for damage.

The "Shuffle 3 Wounds into your deck" card seems really, really bad.

Also, Bulky Chest seems like one of the worst Curses in the game.

@Onee-san thanks for the input! I fixed the Gold Fever interaction (and nerfed it a bit since it was stupidly strong)

I'll think about Alms and Mercenaries. However, I think you might be underestimating Martyrdom, it has been a big part of some of my strongest runs :)
I'll give it another shot!
Gold Fever feels reaaally swingy now. It's not easy to Discard a bunch of Doubloons, and it's hard to control whether you retain Gold Fever vs the bunch of expensive cards Hierophant has, so it feels random whether you draw it early going through your deck or late.

I think it should either be "Deal Y*number of Doubloons in deck or discard," or "Deal X + Y* number of Doubloons in deck or discard."

So far I like this class, the only thing I personally think is that the starting relic is pretty underwhelming.
I just got my first A20 Heart kill with Martyrdom. I retract my earlier statement. Please put all the Wounds in my deck!

Punish: no change
Holy Verse: 9 (14) Piety --> 10 (15) Piety
Doubloon: 8 (16) Hoard --> 5 (10) Hoard
Rusty Crate: 4 (8) Hoard --> 5 (10) Hoard
Smite / pristine soul: no change
Zeal: no change
Charity: "When you draw a Doubloon, gain 5 (8) Piety" --> "When you play a Doubloon, gain 4 (6) Piety"
Flagellation: 14 (21) Piety --> 15 (22) Piety
Bulky Chest: ?? --> 50 (80) Hoard
Divine Intervention: no change
Repentance: "instead of losing a third of your piety, gain a third" --> "instead of losing a third of your piety, gain 2/3ds"
exaltation: no longer exhausts, upgrades to 0 cost

I like the Charity change. Works a lot better with the card that grabs Doubloons from Exhaust.

Doubloon (and Tithe by extension) just got a big ol nerf hammer.

@DarkerThanObama you've tried the new, reworked Gold Fever already so don't worry, there are no plans to change it :)

Please no, Gold fever is a legit fun build to play with.

@Author,
Not yet, I'll check it out :)
