Practically though, removing features from a pawn, like eating, sex, sleep, or wearing clothes, causes the entire game to emotionally destroy a pawn's mood, break features, utterly wipes out ideology and royalty features like room ownership or ritual foods, and many other mod incompatibilities. Plus, RimWorld makes it difficult to exclude health impacts from pawns, and without writing a custom framework unique to us, or shared by many mods (breaking our rules of no extra dependencies, and causing maintenance nightmares,) we can't easily stop a pawn from doing pawn things.
So just accepting the weirdness and writing it into the lore was the best solution.
